Today, we all managers of 3 Bears nurseries, had the privilege of visiting Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity , kindly invited by Julie from the charity team. It was an incredibly moving and inspiring experience that truly showed the difference this charity makes to the lives of children and their families every single day..💜
We had the opportunity to see first-hand how donations by Glasgow Children’s Hospital charity, to help create a more positive and comforting hospital experience for children.
From the wonderful Teddy Hospital, 🧸 where children can learn about and prepare for procedures and surgeries through specialist play, ( with all role play of actual equipments donated by charity)
to sensory spaces, digital learning areas, soft play zones, arts and crafts activities, and even a cinema within the hospital.. 🥰, every space has been thoughtfully designed to bring comfort, distraction, and moments of joy during what can be very challenging times. (Again with all the donations👏)
One of the most touching places we visited was the Sanctuary, a peaceful space where families can remember children they have lost.💫 Seeing the gold leaves dedicated to loved ones was incredibly emotional and highlighted just how important the charity’s support is, not only for children but for parents, siblings, and extended families too..💕
What amazed me most was how the charity works with local organisations, businesses, sports teams, and community partners to create opportunities and experiences that help children feel like children, even while in hospital. The impact of this work is truly remarkable.👏💜
The reason I wanted to share this with you is to say a huge THANK YOU. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, staff, and wider community, 3 Bears Nursery has donated an amazing £25,980.62 to date, along with an additional £4,589.75 raised through the Kiltwalk.👏
Every donation, no matter the size, is helping to fund projects, equipment, services, and spaces that make a real difference to children and families when they need it most🙏
