WHAT AN AMAZING FIRST WEEK OF CAMPS! 🎉

We've had the absolute best time kicking off our summer sessions at our Wyton Camp! From our brilliant Ocean Experience Day and action-packed Multi-Activity Days to our unforgettable Fossil Workshop 🦴🦕

Our young explorers were blown away by an incredible display of real fossils, learning all about these ancient treasures before getting the chance to hold some of these pieces of history millions of years old! To top it all off, everyone made their very own fossil creation to take home as a special keepsake!🤩

It's been a fantastic week full of learning, creativity, sports, adventure and smiles and we are only just getting started!🌟

🌳 Exciting News – Oak Activities is Coming to Orchard Lane! 🌳

We are delighted to announce that our current St Ives secondary provision will be moving to a new permanent home at Orchard Lane, Huntingdon, opening in September.

There is plenty of work to be done over the coming weeks as we transform the site into a welcoming, safe and inspiring learning environment for our young people.

The new site will initially become home to our secondary provision, with longer-term plans to develop a dedicated Post-16 provision, helping more young people prepare for adulthood, independence and their next steps.

This is an exciting new chapter for Oak Activities and a significant investment in the future of the young people we support.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the end of another successful academic year at Oak Activities — and an extra-special year as we mark our 10th anniversary! 🌳💚

Our staff came together with their families for our annual summer BBQ and fun day, enjoying a well-deserved opportunity to relax, have fun and celebrate everything we have achieved together.

Reaching 10 years is a huge milestone for Oak Activities. From a small idea to the organisation we are today, none of it would have been possible without the dedication, care and hard work of our amazing team.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the day and to thank the families who support our staff throughout the year.

Join Luci & Pippa for an unforgettable Wicked themed Musical Theatre Workshop, where children will sing, dance, act and discover the magic of one of the world's most loved musicals!

🎭With over 12 years of experience teaching Musical Theatre, Luci and Pippa have worked extensively with youth theatre groups, Stagecoach Performing Arts schools and multiple summer camps, inspiring young performers through engaging, energetic and inclusive workshops. Their passion is helping children build confidence, creativity and performance skills while having lots of fun along the way.

🌟Luci and Pippa bring a wealth of professional industry experience to their teaching both having trained in Musical Theatre at the UK's leading performing arts institutions. Adding a touch of genuine West End magic, Pippa was part of the original cast of Wicked in London's West End, giving children the opportunity to learn from someone who helped bring this iconic musical to life.

🎶Alongside their teaching careers, Luci and Pippa are current professional performers. They are both featured as singers and dancers in the UK's number one Neil Diamond tribute tour, performing in major theatres across the UK and now touring internationally throughout Europe. Closer to home, both regularly perform leading roles at The Cresset and The Key Theatre, Peterborough, and have received multiple NODA awards for excellence in Theatre.

🎉Together, they also run a successful professional entertainment business, Luci & Pippa Vocals, performing at weddings, private events and large venues across the UK. Their combination of professional performance experience and years of teaching expertise creates workshops that are inspiring, educational and, above all, great fun.

💚Their Wicked workshop introduces young performers to the magical world of Oz through singing, movement, drama and character work, encouraging creativity, confidence and teamwork while bringing the story of Elphaba and Glinda to life.

💚 It's Emotional Literacy Week at Oak Activities! 💚

This week, across all of our Oak settings, we're celebrating Emotional Literacy Week – a dedicated week focused on helping children and young people understand, express and manage their emotions. 🌱

At Oak, we know that emotional literacy is just as important as academic learning. By developing skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation and social skills, we help young people build confidence, strengthen relationships and improve their overall wellbeing.
