💡 Empowering Global Citizens

Great to meet with Principal Elena Hesse at Abbey College Cambridge this morning in University Arms, Cambridge — our management team UK Education Garden had an inspiring discussion about the needs of international students, from boarding and dining experiences to music, sports, UCAS applications and meaningful work opportunities🥇

A key highlight of our conversation was how we can further promote the spirit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — especially by training more young people to become compassionate, capable, and forward-thinking global citizens.

Elena’s warmth, elegance, and global outlook are a true reflection of modern educational leadership — inspiring collaboration and optimism for the next generation. 🌱✨

History of rail 28/09/2025

🚆 200 Years of UK Railways | From 1825 to 2025, Connecting the World

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the UK railways! 🚂 Trains continue to carry us to the places we want to go, reminding us that a journey is more than arrival; it’s about the stories along the way. 💫

The UK is the birthplace of the modern railway. In 1825, the world’s first public railway — the Stockton and Darlington Railway — opened, powered by steam engines carrying coal and passengers. It sparked a new era of the Industrial Revolution and transformed not only Britain but the entire world. 🌍

Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we must also ask:
• How can railways remain a cornerstone of sustainable transport?
• How can we reduce carbon emissions through green innovation?
• How can we connect historical wisdom with future technologies?

👉 In the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), rail and public transport directly link to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities & Communities). Transport is not just about moving people — it’s about shaping the future of our society and our planet.

✨The Magical Encounter of Cambridge and Literature✨

Jin Yong – one of the most influential novelists in the Chinese-speaking world – chose to study at the University of Cambridge even after achieving great success in his career.

Through his example, he showed us that learning is a lifelong journey, and it is never too late to begin. 📚🌍

His story has inspired generations of readers and reminds us that Cambridge is not only a temple of knowledge, but also a place where dreams continue and new heights can be reached.

Today, we expect and believe:
👉 The students of the future will draw wisdom and courage from Cambridge and write chapters even more extraordinary than Jin Yong’s.

Whether in literature, education, science, art, or any other field, they will shine as lights for the world. ✨
