Learning watercolour is more than just painting!🥰

Last week our ‘Mini Monet Junior artists’ learned about watercolour paper, how to prepare it, and how to use water and colour together. Their biggest discovery was that-

‘watercolour is all about transparency, more water and less colour creates beautiful, soft effects.’😌

They showed wonderful concentration and did an amazing job. Well done, little artists! 🎨✨

our Mini Monet Group 2 artists learned watercolour painting step by step. Watching them grow in confidence with every brushstroke is the most rewarding part of teaching. 😌🌻

Our 'Mini Monet Group 1' students worked on a canvas last class for the very first time! 🤩
They were thrilled to explore a real canvas and were introduced to texture sand, an exciting artistic material used for creating texture. 🎨

Since painting on canvas takes time, we will begin colouring in the next class and complete the artwork at a pace that allows each child to do their best work. 🎨✨☺️

Kamaalah, Our Little Artist from 'Mini Monet Group 2'🎨

Kamaalah has shown a wonderful interest in watercolours since joining Bidyaloy Creative Academy. Today, she confidently used watercolour paints while learning to draw a ladybug and a cat from the letters A and B.

After a guided imagination exercise, we discussed how to turn her ideas into a complete composition. Kamaalah thoughtfully added elements to her artwork and created this beautiful painting.

🌟 Bravo, Kamaalah! You are doing a fantastic job. We'll eep practising little by little together, and I believe very soon your watercolour skills will continue to grow beautifully. 🎨✨

This week, our little artists chose natural clay instead of colourful playdough!

They explored its unique qualities using words like cold, soft, squishy, and messy, and discovered how clay behaves differently from playdough.

They also learned an important sculpting skill - using water to join and fix pieces together.

After lots of experimenting, creating, and problem-solving, and a little help from me to glue their piece on the surface everyone proudly completed their own clay creations.

And together we repeated our class mantra:

🌟 “Mistakes are marvelous,
Mess is marvelous.” 🌟
😁🌸👏
