Best thing I’ve seen on the river today! A tribute to Boaty McBoatface which won the public vote to name a new UK polar research ship, which later became RRS Sir David Attenborough. Both super worthy contenders!!! ;)

There are lots of cafés and restaurants around us, but many are geared mainly towards tourists.
One place that truly stands out is Café FOY.
From the quality of the ingredients, to the genuine respect they show other local businesses, to the way they treat everyone who walks through the door like a friend, they’re something special. They let us sample new, creative menu ideas… and yes, they’ll happily let us order a takeaway on proper plates. That says a lot.
They’re simply good, decent people with a real passion for cooking.
Matt made a homemade piccalilli yesterday, which was absolutely awesome. The home-cooked gammon is divine. I popped in asking for eggs on toast to take away… this is what I got. Beautiful.
