The School Choir attended the re-arranged Light Up Northstowe event on Friday evening and in the words of Mr. Thompson our Music Lead, âthey were absolutely amazingâ. We are so proud of our choir with now over sixty children attending each week at school. Being able to attend outside events gives them a real focus and supported by Families and Staff they can feel proud of all they have achieved. Thank you to everyone who made this possible and a huge well done to the Hatton Park School Choir.

In D.T. this term, Year 3 have learnt about healthy eating and balanced diets. So, to conclude their units, on Thursday the children spent the day putting their aprons and âchef hatsâ on to make mini quiches! They had to design, make and evaluate a quiche that could be considered a nutritionally balanced meal, following the guidelines of the Eatwell plate. They all showed excellent skills, using equipment safely and hygienically, as well as a range of techniques such as rolling and cutting pastry, cracking and whisking eggs, chopping and cooking. Their beautiful quiches certainly made the school very hungry!

Thirty of our pupils went off to Wimpole Hall this morning to take part in the Cross-Country Competition. We will let you know later how they did but we know they will represent Hatton Park brilliantly and reflect all of our 6Rs.

We received our new signage and barrier this week and have already seen an improvement in the parking on the High Street. Thank you everyone for ensuring that our children can walk to school in a safe, healthy way. None of this would have been possible without the hard-work and support from Mrs. Morley and her helpers. A perfect example of the wonderful Longstanton Community working together to care and support our pupils. 11th Nov. - 15th Nov. 2024

Today, our children and staff came together to observe a two-minute silence, honouring all who had sacrificed themselves to protect the freedoms we hold dear. All the pupils displayed great respect, standing in quiet remembrance and reflecting on the courage and dedication of those who served. Well done to all.
