🦉We're very happy to share that Hayley's recent Ofsted inspection resulted in a ‘Strong' Standard across the board, following on from 3 consecutive ‘Outstanding' grades.

During these past months, we’ve also been refreshing our home with lots of DIY and have created a dedicated toddler classroom. Our babies now have their own calm space, the toddlers have theirs, and our older children enjoy their beautiful environment in the detached classroom. Everything feels settled, purposeful and ready for the next stage.

Tomorrow we’ll be welcoming Montessori Childminders into our setting for a day of sharing practice, wet‑felting and creating lifecycle printables together. I’m really looking forward to opening our environment and spending time with such a thoughtful community.

And now that everything has settled, I’m back online after stepping away from the constant prompts to post!🦉

Our Little Explorers mud kitchen has recently had a makeover! What we thought was going to be a simple job ended up taking 2 days to complete - the ground wasn’t level, and we decided to move it to a new spot in the garden. This meant hiding some pipework and making sure we could still access the drain underneath. In the photo it looks wonky but it is level🤣

The top section now lifts off the base, so we can easily move the kitchen if needed. We’re pleased with how it’s turned out - ready for lots more muddy fun!

🦉🦷🪥I discovered this beautiful book ‘I can brush my teeth’ by Becca’s Children’s Books. I will definitely be purchasing further titles in the series.

I’ve put together a little matching/language activity to go alongside the book for our Little Explorers to explore further - I just need to purchase a small blue toothbrush to complete it.

We’re looking forward to observing the children’s toothbrushing skills on Tiggers teeth!🪥 🦷🦉

🦉🔺🔵Such beautiful architecture here with lots of different shapes. I’ll keep adding photos to this post as I carry on exploring! Your welcome to save them for use in your setting☺️

These will be used as an extension activity to my Geometric Cabinet (first photo)🔵🔺🦉

🦉🌍We are currently in Montenegro on our Summer Holidays. Whilst visiting Kotor for the day we picked up some souvenirs to add to our Continent Boxes/activities for our Little Explorers.

🎄Christmas Tree (Matryoshka nesting dolls)
☃️Snowman
🪈Traditional musical instrument
🪡A necklace which will be made into a threading activity/sorting the rings into size or open ended resource for the children creatively.

🦉And finally two little Owls to go into our growing collection of owls from different countries - Whenever we go on holiday we always purchase a traditional small owl to add to our collection of owls for the children to count/sort. Sometimes our families bring back a little souvenir from their holidays to add to our owl collection or our Continent Boxes for the children to explore! 🌍🦉
