School's Out

Hi everyone,

We are starting to piece together activities and “timetables” (as you know we use that term lightly as we are very child led) but we already have some ideas and plans in place.

Places for our holiday club are filling up rapidly, we really would recommend getting booked in now rather than later.

If you or your child(ren) have any suggestions on what they have previously liked or would like to try at holiday club, please do let us know.

School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 13&14 - The end of SO HC Summer 25!
Week 3 -
Thursday was our forest school day, which we did a lot of playing, mud kitchens, drawing, colouring in mug coasters, s‘mores on the fire, team building games, ice cream, whittling and much more.
Friday was our last day, chill day! And it was a chill day we have a very slow moving day just doing whichever the children pleased, clay moulding, slime making, puppet making, ice cream and ice lolly eating, rock painting, soft ball designing!! We had a play around the forest area for some cool outdoor play!

Our doors have now closed for the rest of the summer, we have been super busy every day bringing difference, so many new friendships developed and old ones, learning about all different things, exploring and experiencing incredible opportunities and sadly said goodbye to 4 amazing children who have been apart of our little HC family for a long time now but there off on different adventures! We have had a brilliant time, it really does go so fast when you’re having fun!

We are unsure on what the future holds for HC as for next year, but once we have decided there will be an email 📧 going out, so please look out for that in the future.

A shout out to our amazing team and a thank you from me (Kim)-
Alyson, Louise, Jenny & Angela and Vince (Riley’s Grandad) who stepped in to support Riley when needed, to which leads to Riley who has no choice but to come daily, everyday, before and after! You’ve all been amazing and we really couldn’t do this without the fantastic team we’ve created!

💥 School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 13-
Week 3
Science workshop this morning and then making our own t shirts this afternoon followed by an afternoon of water play!

*our slides are now drying and this afternoon was our last, children no longer need to bring swimwear.*

💥 School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 11&12 -
Week 3
It’s been HOT! 🔥🥵

Monday - started off with a visit from Michael 🎭 the children had great fun reacting some role play of Shakespeare Macbeth!
A dip in the water slides was needed and then we played some British guessing games, drew silly pictures on the white boards. We then had a lovely visit from Nikki with “Wildings” for some storm relaxation and ate scones with butter, jam and cream!

Tuesday -
This morning started off with a play outside, then a visit from some goats, a pony, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs

We then made our very own mini arcades which the children did amazing at and then we designed our own soft balls.

💥 School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 10 End of week 2 -
Drawing, football, playing outside, sweet making (still setting awaiting on results!), glittering slime, water slide, uno and much more. To be honest the day ran away with us drastically although it was a final goodbye to one of our yr6 (going into yr7) who has been with us since reception- she’ll be missed!

Next week is fully packed with exciting things including science workshop, animals coming to see us, theatre visit and lots more. And it’s looking like it’s going to be HOT! 🥵 And then that is us over and out for Summer 2025 ☀️

💥 School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 9 -
Forest School Fun and Exploring with S’mores and a quick dip in the water slide!

School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 7&8 -
Tuesday started off with an amazing Disco with Silly Sean from DNA. The children had great fun!
We then did a mini superhero session, although didn’t manage to get done as much as I’d hope! 🦸‍♀️🦸🪩

Wednesday we had a chill morning playing and making our new pet friends, we then attempted to make our own bouncy balls, wasn’t a total success but wasn’t a total fail either. We then had an exciting visitor ICE CREAM MAN!! To which all the children picked their own and the lovely Alyson paid for us all to have one - how lucky are we 🍦 🍀 We then made our beach outside with sand, water slide and bouncy castle, inflatables and crafts! 🌊

School’s Out Summer Holiday Club 2025 😎 Day 6 -
The day started off to a baking start, with our “mud” muffins. We then made our own parrots 🦜
We then had the most surreal visit from some very special visitors 🦉 from Birds & Beyond Falconry 🦅 the children all got chance to ask lots of questions, hold an owl and the hawk plus watching them fly from arm to arm, it was incredible!
We made our own clay birds, wooden birds and had a fly and then finished off with decorating our mud muffins.

Tomorrow is Disco 🪩 and Superhero 🦸 🦸‍♀️ Afternoon!!
