Eclipse glasses at the ready! π
Yesterday over at Wychfield, some of our students and Fellows grabbed their eclipse glasses (and a colander for safely projecting the eclipse!) and headed over to the Sports Pitch to enjoy the celestial event.
What a perfect spot for a partial eclipse sighting!

Zena Aderogba started the History and Spanish course four years ago with no previous Spanish experience. Fast forward to last month's graduation, Zena was awarded Special Excellence in Spanish speaking.π
"Having only begun learning Spanish at university, this recognition means a great deal to me and reflects how much I've gained confidence over the course of my degree.
"A particular highlight of my degree was spending my year abroad in Spain as a Language Assistant. It was an unforgettable opportunity to develop my language skills through complete immersion, gain confidence in the classroom and experience a new culture."
Zena will be taking these skills and travelling Spain and Latin America this summer.
"Iβm excited for the opportunities that lie ahead."π

In our academic journal 'Hall Histories', PhD student Rhiannon Warren breaks down the treasures you can find in the early-print books of the Old Library - including this bird-shaped watermark that hints at where one of the books was produced.
Through identifying these manuscript fragments, Rhiannon finds a second 'hidden library' nestled in the books' bindings.

Georgia Emanuel graduated from College this summer with a degree in English and has played a leading role in Trinity Hall life. π
As our previous JCR co-president, she reflected on her time as a committee member.
"While I have loved my academic studies, I have certainly also made the most of my time here regarding extra-curriculars.
"I spent my final year as JCR co-president of Trinity Hall, advocating for the undergraduate student body and leading the JCR committee. It was a lovely surprise to be shortlisted for βCollege Officer of the Yearβ in the Cambridge Students' Union Excellence Awards. I am indebted to my wonderful co-pres Tyr Hogsander!"
Whilst Georgia has now graduated, she'll be sticking around Cambridge a little longer as part of a Trinity Hall collaboration with Kettle's Yard.
"I will be spending this summer working at Kettle's Yard as a Curatorial Intern with the House and Collection team. I am so excited for the next few months and everything that will follow!" πΌ
