Countless BUCS Medals, Varsity successes, and record Freshers’ & Cuppers attendances - it’s been a great year for Cambridge University Cycling Club!👏

The dedication from the committee has created a great atmosphere which the club have reaped the rewards from on the road, gravel, or track!🚴‍♀️🚵‍♂️

Sports Person of the Year 2026; Freya Moody!🏆

Freya has been an incredible captain of CUWLC this year, leading the Blues to the National Quarter-Final by scoring 60+ goals, as well as coaching both of the University teams.

At just 19, Freya earned her first senior cap and competed for GB against the Netherlands and Germany, and never misses a session whilst balancing a high-contact-hour Biological Natural Sciences degree.

Freya gives so much to everyone around her and is an inspiration to her fellow club members!🥳

Sports Awards 2026 - Newcomer of the Year Award Winner, Max Millstine!👋🏒

Having previously played at the highest level of youth Ice Hockey in the US, it was no surprise that when Max arrived in Cambridge he was an immediate standout across the UK University leagues.

Max’s performance is coupled with his desire to help the club off the ice, stepping in as Co-President next year and ensuring the wider club operations also run as smoothly as on the ice - we look forward to seeing what the future holds!

“Ela is the heart and soul of CUDCT; the first to bring people together and a source of light, laughter, and friendship within the club!”

Throughout the year, Ela has kept the mood up through difficult sessions and was always cheering her teammates on louder than anyone else.

A deserving recipient of this award, congratulations!👏

With only a handful of players last year, King’s Tennis are now an established club across all college tennis levels. The captains have worked to grow the club competitively whilst keeping participation and inclusivity at their core.

Their positive impact within the college is testament to their hard work and passion to increase participation, congratulations!🥳

A historic League, Cup, and Varsity treble for the Pythons, who take home the first award of the day!👏

🏏 As part of a ground-breaking England tour, the Afghan Refugee Women’s cricket team will play two T20 matches on Saturday 27 June at Fenner’s in Cambridge, the historic University cricket ground... and you're invited too!

💥 Both matches are open to the public, free of charge, and light refreshments will be provided for the afternoon match.
