Cambridge - 4th Annual Dinner The Cambridge LGBT+ Alumni invites you to attend their 4th annual dinner, this year it will be held at Girton College.

We would like to announce the elections for MCR Executives and Committee Officers for the 2024/2025 academic year.

***PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***

The following positions are open for election:

-Executive positions:
MCR Treasurer
MCR General Secretary
-Mandatory Committee Officers:
Social Secretary (Swirles Court)
Social Secretary (External Events)
Academic Officer
Welfare Officer
Dining Officer
-Open Portfolio Committee Officers:
Community Engagement Officer
International Students' Officer
Women and Families' Officer
LGBTQ+ Officer
Sustainability Officer
Sport and Societies' Officer

You can find the specific duties of each office as well as the current MCR constitution in your Cambridge email.

ELIGIBILITY
All candidates must be a postgraduate student in good standing at Girton College. There are no qualifications or experience required to stand for election.

PERIOD OF OFFICE
Successful candidates will serve 1 term until the end of the academic year in July.

he deadline for both nominations and manifestos is Wednesday, 9 October at 9pm.

ELECTIONS TIMELINE
7/10 Nominations open 9am.
9/10 Nominations close 9pm, candidates announced shortly thereafter.
10/10 Elections open 9am, campaigning begins.
14/10 Elections close 9pm, winners announced shortly thereafter.
15/10 First MCR committee meeting.

One of the hidden gems of Cambridge, the Lawrence Room museum is set among the quiet lawns and trees of Girton College, where Roman and Anglo-Saxon grave goods discovered on the college site itself sit alongside artefacts from ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece donated by college members over the years.
