⛏ Wattle & Daub Repair & Renewal ⛏
is the term used for fixing twigs or sticks (usually cleft of riven hazel, oak, ash) between studs on a timber frame building to form a skeleton onto which the daub will cling, one method is to spring ledgers between the studs to form a ladder effect!
We are always keen to retain as much infill as possible and work hard to keep it in place. Sometimes it is in such poor condition that we have to renew it! ✔️
