Let’s be honest - I haven’t always been into yoga. Touching my toes was a hilarious concept and at least 25 years had passed since I’d been upside down in an attempt to stand on my head. Despite that I somehow decided to give this yoga thing a go…

I lived and travelled different places before settling down in the UK back in 2004. Initially on a very different path, holding two Masters degrees in Economics (Slovakia) and MA International Business (Cambridge), several years at the office desk, I realised that the corporate world was not for me and yoga took over.

During my office years I discovered the immense benefits of hot yoga and have been a dedicated practitioner ever since. I explored several different styles before taking my first TT in traditional Hatha and Ashtanga yoga in serene Himalayan mountains with Akshi Yogashala from Rishikesh, India, later followed by Hot TT at Camyoga and Yin TT with Norman Blair for much needed balance.

My personal practice and teaching started to shift more recently towards functional approach and mindful movement. Taking inspiration from Donna Farhi, Bernie Clark or Paul Grilley, I continue to learn, and truly believe yoga is a personal practice accessible to everyone. For me, yoga is about self-enquiry and having a chance to pause, mindful use of breath, safe physical alignment and understanding of the uniqueness of our bodies, deeper sense of self – awareness, finding balance between effort and surrender.
