🍓💰 As part of their Numeracy Main Lesson block, Class 3 explored the metric unit of capacity, money, and trading through a real-life enterprise project.
The children made their own strawberry cordial, measured ingredients carefully, prepared it for sale, and then ran their own stall at the May Fair. Through this hands-on experience, they put their learning into practice while developing confidence in handling money and serving customers.
Most importantly, they raised funds for the school through their hard work and teamwork! 🍓✨

📚🎲 After finishing their class reader Hob the Elf, our Class 3 children took on the challenge of designing and creating their own board game based on the story.
The project culminated in a special visit from the author, Richard Moore, who read excerpts from his books and answered the children's questions. In return, the class proudly presented their game, explaining the characters, challenges, and adventures they had woven into it. It was a wonderful celebration of reading, creativity, and the children's deep engagement with the story. Thank you, Richard, for such an inspiring visit! ✨

✨ Peredur Eurythmy Performance ✨
Our children were captivated by the beautiful fairy tale brought to life through eurythmy in the performance of Peredur. There was particular excitement when they recognised their own eurythmy teacher, Ms Wing Man, appearing as both the Firebird and the Princess!
A heartfelt thank you to the performers for sharing such a magical and inspiring experience with us.

🏹⚔️ Our Class 6/7 spent three wonderful days immersed in medieval life during their Medieval Games and Camp, joined by friends from York Waldorf School.

The children learned medieval skills such as fencing and archery, enjoyed an authentic medieval feast, and shared a memorable drama evening together. On the final day, families joined us to witness a showcase of the children’s new skills, culminating in a beautiful knighting ceremony.

This event was a truly inspiring example of the strength and warmth of a Waldorf community. A heartfelt thank you to the Class 6/7 parents who helped host the event and cooked for the knights throughout the camp.
