As another wonderful school year comes to a close, our community gathered to celebrate all that we have shared, learned, and achieved together.

We also took the time to say farewell to those moving on to new adventures and to wish everyone a restful, joyful summer filled with sunshine, family, and new experiences.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of another inspiring year at Cambridge Waldorf School. We look forward to welcoming our community back in the autumn for another year of learning, discovery, and growth.
Have a wonderful summer! ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿงถ Class 3 Handwork โ€“ Knitted Hand Warmers ๐Ÿงค
Our Class 3 students have proudly completed their beautiful knitted hand warmers!
In Waldorf education, handwork is about much more than learning a practical skill. Knitting strengthens fine motor skills, develops hand-eye coordination, and encourages pattern recognition and sequential thinking. Following a pattern, counting stitches, and correcting mistakes all nurture concentration, logical thinking, and resilience, skills that support learning across the curriculum, including mathematics, reading, and writing.

๐ŸŽช Circus Week at Our School! ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ
Last week, our students from Class 4/5 upwards took part in our annual Circus Workshop, a week full of challenge, creativity, laughter, and new skills!
Throughout the week, they learned and practised juggling, acrobatics, diabolo, club juggling, unicycling, and much more. With determination and plenty of perseverance, everyone stepped outside their comfort zone, discovering talents they didn't know they had.
The week ended with a fantastic performance, where students proudly showcased everything they had learned to families and friends.
A huge thank you to our circus instructors and everyone who helped make this inspiring week possible. ๐ŸŽช๐ŸŒŸ

Class 4/5 at the Waldorf Olympics! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ…
What an unforgettable experience for our Class 4/5 students as they took part in this year's Waldorf Olympics!
After months of preparation, our young Olympians joined children from Waldorf schools across the UK to celebrate the ideals of the ancient Olympic Games: courage, grace, perseverance, friendship, and respect. Together they trained, competed, encouraged one another, and formed new friendships, making memories that will stay with them for years to come.
We are incredibly proud of every one of our students for the determination, sportsmanship, and joy they showed throughout the event. They represented our school beautifully and truly embodied the Olympic spirit.
Congratulations, Class 4/5, you were amazing! ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

St. John's Festival โ€“ A Celebration of Summer
We gathered as a school community to celebrate the joy and abundance of summer at our beautiful St. John's Festival.
A special highlight of the evening was seeing our Class 5 studentsโ€”who were heading to the Olympics carry their torches and light the festival fire. As the flames settled, the community came together to jump over the fire, celebrating the spirit of summer. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒผ
Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable celebration!

๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ฐ As part of their Numeracy Main Lesson block, Class 3 explored the metric unit of capacity, money, and trading through a real-life enterprise project.
The children made their own strawberry cordial, measured ingredients carefully, prepared it for sale, and then ran their own stall at the May Fair. Through this hands-on experience, they put their learning into practice while developing confidence in handling money and serving customers.
Most importantly, they raised funds for the school through their hard work and teamwork! ๐Ÿ“โœจ
