Our CSVPA Drama students recently delivered a sophisticated and deeply moving performance, exploring themes of human connection, loneliness, vulnerability and the transformative power of theatre.

With remarkable sensitivity and maturity, they crafted complex characters whose layers gradually unfolded, revealing powerful glimpses into their lived experiences.

As the performance progressed, so too did our understanding of the characters, of each other, and of the quiet strength found in human connection. A truly compelling showcase of talent, empathy and the enduring impact of theatre.

Medieval Poetry Meets Modern Creativity ✨

As part of their Experimental Studies classes, first-year CSVPA students on the Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication course, alongside CSVPA’s Music students, took part in a prestigious collaboration with St Catharine’s College, the University of Cambridge and the University of Münster.

Responding to Marienleich, a powerful medieval poem by Frauenlob, our art and design students transformed this historic text into bold visual interpretations using a wide range of traditional and contemporary media and techniques.

The project culminated in a stunning exhibition and live performances inside St Catharine’s College Chapel for the Cambridge Festival 2026, blending original compositions, spoken word and electronic soundscapes from our Music students with immersive visuals from our Film & Animation students for a truly multi-sensory experience.

An unforgettable opportunity to create, collaborate and bring history to life.
