Language Leaders visit today
We were delighted to welcome the Language Leaders from King's School Ely this afternoon for a truly fabulous visit!
Fieldmice pupils enjoyed learning all about France, taking part in a fun matching card activity and practising new French vocabulary.
Squirrel Class explored China, learning about the Chinese flag, traditional clothing and how to pronounce some simple Chinese words.
Hedgehog Class discovered fascinating facts about Korea, including its location on the map, the Korean flag, how the Korean writing system differs from English, and the types of food commonly eaten there compared to English cuisine.
Badgers Class focused on Germany, discussing differences in schools, carnivals and Christmas fairs, as well as learning some simple German phrases. The pupils were particularly interested to hear about how language students spend up to six months away from home.
It was wonderful to see all our pupils so engaged and asking such thoughtful questions throughout the sessions!
