Bag2School Collection – Raise Funds for Our School
This week, children have brought home a Bag2School bag as part of our latest PTA fundraising initiative.
We have arranged a clothing and shoe collection with Bag2School, the UK’s leading textile recycler, which has worked with schools since 1999 and has raised over £48 million for education.
By taking part, you can have a clear-out at home and donate unwanted clothing and textiles (please note: no school uniform). If you need more space, additional bags are welcome.
Collection Date: Thursday 11th June
Time: 7:30–9:00am
Location: Just inside the main school car park gates
Please ensure all bags are dropped off during this time only, as we are unable to accept items outside of these hours.

On Tuesday, our school came alive with colour, excitement and celebration as we enjoyed a fantastic Culture and Diversity Day! We hope you enjoy looking through the wonderful selection of photos capturing such a memorable day. Children across the school took part in a wide variety of engaging activities including art, sport, drama and cookery, all designed to celebrate cultures from around the world in a fun and meaningful way.
Each phase explored a different part of the world: EYFS travelled to Spain, KS1 discovered the vibrant culture of Brazil, LKS2 explored Africa, and UKS2 learned all about Poland. It was wonderful to see so many children proudly wearing incredible traditional clothing, helping us celebrate the rich diversity of nationalities within our school community.
LKS2 enjoyed taking part in traditional African festival games that challenged their hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills, while UKS2 created persuasive adverts encouraging people to visit Poland and even hosted their own Polish café. EYFS children explored Spain through delicious food tasting activities and beautiful Picasso-inspired artwork.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents and families who contributed to our Diversity Fayre and helped make the morning such a success. All children were able to experience food tastings, origami, traditional games, cultural facts, marbling, written word activities and so much more. We were proud to showcase cultures from China, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, Brazil, Romania, Spain and Poland.
We are incredibly excited to see this special event continue to grow next year, welcoming even more nationalities and giving our children an even broader and richer cultural experience to enjoy and celebrate together.
