The magical world of Magical Honey is showing in Lichfield this September.
Join Maya’s world of Magical Honey with dance, magic, storytelling and live music.
Young Maya loves to draw and read and harnesses her own magic with the help of the celestial being Saraswati. Together they explore the mystical world around them, discovering dancing peacocks, flowers appearing from nowhere, and the buzzing sound of imaginary bees.
But behold, her foe Miss Tusra! The evil headmonster, oops, headteacher believes that no one should enjoy art.
Maya now needs your help - and a little bit of magic - to combat Miss Tusra and restore the beauty of her enchanting world.

Join us this Easter for a spectacular dance theatre show at Foyle Studio, MAC Birmingham, in partnership with Sampad.
Aranyani, the goddess of forests and the wild, is dying. If the plants and animals that she supports are to thrive, she must have nourishment and balance in the world. Can a Sage and a Scientist – and you, the audience – discover how to save her?
Tree of Life explores the connection between science and spirituality through the medium of trees and dance. The show weaves together Bharatanatyam and contemporary Western dance with an ethereal, original music score and spoken word, creating an unforgettable experience for all the family.

Thank you to the Cambridge Edition for featuring our 10 year anniversary in their August issue! You can read the latest issue here: https://cambsedition.co.uk/issue-library/
Cambridge has been central to our journey and we've been well supported by Cambridge City Council and Cambridge Junction over the years, as well as our Cambridge audience!
It was also good to see Cambridge's Out of the Ordinary Festival featured in the magazine - we'll be part of the festivities later this month!

Throwback to Eddington Carnival 2026! Always a joy to bring Bharatanatyam, Bollywood and Bollynatyam to the wonderful residents of Eddington 🥰
"I was at the carnival yesterday and really enjoyed your performance and I really enjoyed your session. I loved the four girls dancing with two different styles that was such a fun idea!"

Happy South Asian Heritage Month! 🌸
This month feels especially meaningful as we reflect on a decade of bringing Bharatnatyam to audiences across Cambridge and beyond.
When Sanskruti Dance received its first commission on Mill Road, it was a moment of realisation: that classical South Asian dance could go beyond the stage, reach new audiences, and show that it was never meant to be intimidating.
Our mission has always been simple: art is for everyone. Dance is for everyone.
Bharatnatyam is a rich, ancient tradition, but it's also alive with storytelling, movement, and emotion that resonates across cultures and generations. Audiences may not come to dance themselves, but they take something away: a story, a feeling, a connection. That's the power of this art form.
As we mark South Asian Heritage Month and celebrate 10 years of Sanskruti, we're grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey, and excited about everything still to come. 🙏✨

It was wonderful to have Suhani dancing with us once again, performing as Miss Tusra in Magical Honey at The Curve, Leicester, after a maternity break. It is always a pleasure to see her skill as a dancer and charisma as a performer.
Suhani will also perform in Tree of Life at Out of the Ordinary festival in Cambridge at the end of August, as she stands in for Laura Edwards, who is also now taking a maternity break!
Warm wishes and congratulations to both mothers at this special time.

Last night our Artistic Director Krishna Zivraj-Nair had the pleasure of joining BBC Cambridgeshire’s Amir Suleman on his Monday night South Asian show to talk about our tenth anniversary. Thank you Amir for having Krishna on your show.
This in-depth interview went through Krishna’s professional journey, moving from working as a research scientist to artistic director of a professional dance company, driven by her belief that art and dance are for everyone. Krishna’s passion for bringing classical Bharatnatyam to audiences that might not be traditional theatre-goers,, blending it with art forms ranging from shadow puppetry to magic, has resulted in a ten year journey of nationally-touring productions, arts awards and dance festivals in her home city.
Listen in to Krishna's interview at 1hours 20 minutes on BBC Sounds: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m002ytqm
