The District

The District The District are a creative agency. We were founded in 2004 by two people who wanted to do things differenter. What is more important is how we do things.

We get close to our clients (not in a weird way), we dig deep and we question until we have unearthed what makes our client's brand or offering different. We then work hard to develop an effective way of

communicating this difference. We have helped clients sell energy drinks, got bums on seats and people through doors. We've encouraged people to embrace new writing, got teenagers excited about theatre and changed the face of the high street through art. This is why we get up in the morning and it seems there are clients out there who share our ambition. Our clients include: Anglia Ruskin University / The Arts Council / Arts and Business / Availl / British Council / Cambridge School of Art / Changing Spaces / Classworks Youth Theatre / The University of Cambridge / CoDE (Cultures of Digital Economy) / Icon Books / Pan MacMillan / Periscope Post / School for Social Entrepreneurs / Shark Energy / Stars Beareavement Support for the Young / The Junction / University Campus Suffolk / X-Leisure

WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! Taking inspiration from our incumbent Prime Minister, we now also have a space in the North of England. Located in the wonderfully creative and unique town of Hebden Bridge - a place that has always been close to our heart. We hope to make news friends in Manchester, Leeds and beyond, and of course in Heb itself. We still remain firmly embedded in Cambridge. Head to our bio for link to journal post. And if you live or work in the area why not say [email protected].

This year we had the privilege of working with Cambridge Icon Hot Numbers Coffee Roasters. For sound strategic reasons the end result was a subtly updated icon and the introduction of a new typeface, but in the process of collaborating with them, among other things we created this little guy - the ultimate personification of coffee and jazz - the two great loves of founder Simon Fraser. Phats quite rightly insisted that he loved on, so we entered him into the Creativepool Annual Awards. Evidently they love Phats as much as we do so he has been shortlisted in the Cutting Room Floor category. HUGE thanks to for being the lead midwife in the birth of this legend….

The more people that buy this glorious zine the more likely it is that England will win the World Cup. Flash sale while England remain in the tournament. Depending on your outlook either buy it before tomorrow or chill. Link in bio.

Family Law Cafe appointed us to reimagine their visual and verbal identity. More than a team of passionate and experienced legal professionals (though very much that) they pride themselves on providing a warm and inclusive approach to the legal system. A rare thing indeed. To express this, the brand was made up of two key components - very characterful metaphorical illustrations by the wonderfully talented Fruzsina Menyhei and thoughtful copywriting which humanised the overwhelming and often intimidating legal process.
