This year we had the privilege of working with Cambridge Icon Hot Numbers Coffee Roasters. For sound strategic reasons the end result was a subtly updated icon and the introduction of a new typeface, but in the process of collaborating with them,among other things we created this little guy - the ultimate personification of coffee and jazz - the two great loves of founder Simon Fraser. Phats quite rightly insisted that he loved on, so we entered him into the Creativepool Annual Awards. Evidently they love Phats as much as we do so he has been shortlisted in the Cutting Room Floor category. HUGE thanks to for being the lead midwife in the birth of this legend….

Family Law Cafe appointed us to reimagine their visual and verbal identity. More than a team of passionate and experienced legal professionals (though very much that) they pride themselves on providing a warm and inclusive approach to the legal system. A rare thing indeed. To express this, the brand was made up of two key components - very characterful metaphorical illustrations by the wonderfully talented Fruzsina Menyhei and thoughtful copywriting which humanised the overwhelming and often intimidating legal process.
