Open to PhD students, recent PhD graduates, Master's students, research-enthusiastic undergrads alike!
This year our meeting will discuss future challenges including ageing, architecture and regulation of the genome, lab-grown meat and will include a workshop on redefining research success by members of the Declaration On Research Assessment. We aim to enhance collaboration and exchange of ideas between the life science PhD students from the university and computational / genomics PhD students from EMBL-EBI and Sanger Institute.
Hoping to see lots of you there!

We're excited to announce our workshop for eSCAMPS 2020, led by David Carr and Paola Quattroni - members of the steering committee at The Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), an initiative established to think about how we can evaluate research success more effectively.
DORA advocates rethinking use of journal-based metrics for hiring and funding academics, and using alternative measures of assessment. These include research outputs like datasets, protocols and methods, alongside the scientific content of studies and their practical impact
The session leaders will discuss these issues with us, including how we can make use of the goals and recommendations of DORA as early-career researchers.
Sign up for eSCAMPS now! Registration and student talk/poster abstract submission deadline is January 10th.
