We’ve been blessed with rain. This little Pocket Slobbit is relishing the smell of water on plant life around him today. 🌸

Pocket Slobbits and Poppet Slobbits.
Me and Tracy are creating some new puppets for our next project combining folklore with Slobbit storytelling. My wish is that they share a sense of delight with all that get to play with them. Or even see them in a photo! Happy Friday 🌸

I love it when a puppet looks happy to be out in the world with me. Strawberry Fields summer fair has begun. 🌸

Our latest newsletter - Sunshine Slobbits - headed into email inboxes this morning. Big thanks to Lucy for putting it together so beautifully and to Tracy for all her puppet making and little wooden furniture skill. If you would like to be a part of our puppet group, please sign up at: www.thehands-oncompany.co.uk
There’s an opportunity to be gifted a puppet each month, alongside some fun top tips and puppet info. See you there!

Slobbits, poppets and monsters.

Putting a hand in a puppet when it’s hot can be problematic for this time of year, especially the large ones. A foam ball to hold around works a treat for my dogs, cats and Slobbits, but smaller insides in monsters (this is Fred) work well with a cotton insert. He can practice his moves in the mirror without needing recovery time with his biggest fan!

These are poppet dolls made from basic figurines and put inside Pocket Slobbit outfits. So I guess they are Poppet Slobbits! I love how the faces change with the chosen materials. Each one becomes a friend for their creator, once a personal belonging is placed in their rucksack. Tracy and I are making more finished versions for our Etsy shop. I can’t wait to share these finger puppet versions when they are ready.
