The Hands-On Company

These are poppet dolls made from basic figurines and put inside Pocket Slobbit outfits. So I guess they are Poppet Slobbits! I love how the faces change with the chosen materials. Each one becomes a friend for their creator, once a personal belonging is placed in their rucksack. Tracy and I are making more finished versions for our Etsy shop. I can’t wait to share these finger puppet versions when they are ready.

I headed out in the snow with this fluffy Slobbit to take photos for January’s newsletter today. It’s cold here in Cambridge for the second day and I feel it will be cold a while longer. Thank goodness for Slobbit cuddles helping me start 2026 cosy and warm!

Happy to be out and about with the puppets today. It’s a Slobbit time of year for sure!

This little writing desk is my favourite place to be right now. Jonnie gave it to me for my birthday back in April and I put the little wooden doll, fairy head mount and bee bowl along the top as they are my favourite things. Also the clay picture and mounted one on the wall behind are by my kids - always a joy to look at. I decided to add pocket Slobbit design ideas and mice while I practice eyes and tails this week and already feel inspired. If you have a favourite place to be, I’d love to see a photo or hear about it.

A lunchtime trip to the Wren Library hidden behind Trinity College Cambridge and well worth a visit - Slobbit company optional. If you are a Pooh bear fan, there’s a treat for you to discover there too!

The Slobbits have been on holiday! Theo Pocket Slobbit met an alien and even had a beach boogie. Slobbits know that a holiday is a great way to re-balance and have some fun.

I picked the perfect Slobbit card for a warm weather, Friday afternoon at my desk. Definitely slow and I’ll keep working on the unstoppable! Happy Friday to you too.
