We believe everyone is still growing.
That’s why everything we do is built around helping humans thrive - children, families, and teams alike.

This morning, preschool 1 started the day off making ginger scented playdough.
They had the option of what colour to use.
Each child took their turn pouring and mixing, learning patience and sharing.
After this, we moved the oven and sink over for them to transport their creations into the oven!
The children worked well together with the utensils that were used, and were all playing, and engaged for a long period of time!
They also had freedom to use what they wanted for this, for example, different cookie cutters, rolling pins and baking trays.

Our story began in a railway station — with one simple idea: create a place where people feel at home.
That idea still guides us today.

In baby room, we have started weekly baking sessions on a Friday! This is where the babies get to bake different foods. This helps the babies to develop early mathematics skills, expand their vocabulary and develop their motor skills. The babies mix ingredients together, measure out the ingredients and explore the textures and smell of the different foods! This develops their sensory development! Through doing this, we will be creating a recipe book within our room. The recipes will be available for parents and carers to take home with them. Last week, we made cheese and courgette muffins and this week we have made cheese, sage and onion scones!

For children's safety week, PC paws joined us in the toddler garden to do some inspections! PC paws made sure our slide was safe and even had a try himself. He reminded us to do our garden checks and make sure we use correct PPE when in the construction zone. Some of us showed PC paws around the garden, and he joined in with our activities. 🐻 🚔

Today in the toddler room, we have been celebrating national dinosaur day! We had several activities in the garden that gave the dinosaurs an opportunity to get messy, such as exploring the sand pit and getting covered in gloop! We use paint and some dinosaur cookie cutters to do some printing and created some artwork to take home. The children enjoyed roaring while they painted. We also learned a new song called Do the Dinosaur stomp which allowed us to practise our stomping feet, chomping jaws and loud dinosaur roars. We have enjoyed our special day of dinosaurs.
