Cars, Trains, Tractors ............. 🚘

The children at Monkey Puzzle have been learning about "land travel"

🚂Our babies have been learning key words and have been splashing around washing vehicles.

🚗The Tweenies have been developing their gross motor skills and control of their bodies to change direction.

🚜Our Toddlers and Preschool have been focussing on positional language and have enjoyed using directional buttons to make the "bee bot" move, and have been taking turns and working as a team!!

This week the children have been discovering STEM

How do flowers bloom?
What happens when we mix colours?
Why do leaves have veins?

So many questions!!!

The children have shown great curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics! They’ve been asking questions, predicting outcomes, and exploring what happens with different ingredients. Our pre schoolers particularly loved mixing colours and even created their own erupting volcanoes!

Today we had a surprise visitor!

Gary the pet rabbit came to visit us to expand on the children’s current interest of pets.

The children were able to meet Gary one by one, pet him and feed him his favourite snack of banana. We revisited our previous learning of the week by talking about how rabbits keep their teeth healthy and how we need to stay calm and gentle for the rabbits wellbeing.

Pet animals

Our lovely families have shared photos of their family pets for us to talk about first hand experiences with the children.

To extend this the children have learnt all about pet rabbits. We have learnt that baby rabbits are called kittens and that rabbits are classed as exotic pets so need special attention and care.

The children were able to name different natural habitats for the different animals.

We also revisited sea animals from our previous learning theme and were able to discuss how we care for fish and where they live.
What a fun sensory experience too! Feeling the cold blue water and the wet crunchy sand!

Library Time.
The little ones had a wonderful time at our Cambridge City Library, discovering new stories and also chose some books to bring back to the Nursery to share with their peers.
Early literacy where the magic begins.....

Our lovely nursery that overlooks the beautiful Parker's Piece. Our older children have a great time with Monkeynastics and Rugby Tots, while our babies and their families enjoy Rhyme Time and Stay and Plays. With our small size, children from different age groups build caring relationships, making our nursery feel like a home from home.

The children at Monkey Puzzle Regent Terrace have been exploring ways to care for the ocean. They've enjoyed role-playing as heroes saving sea creatures and discovering how they can look after our planet. It’s been a fun and educational experience for everyone!

Toddle waddle for Barnardo's with our families.

Lots of our lovely families joined us to raise money for Barnardo's, we all had a fun taking a walk on the beautiful Parker's piece.

It was lovely to receive such wonderful feedback from one of our families!!!
