It is fantastic to hear how our Train the Trainer event was well received. I know we completed the day feeling inspired and knowing that trainee teachers are in good hands.
We had a wonderful day engaging ITE Trainers and Technicians with our activities and discussing how best to support teacher training. It was unique and special opportunity to have those like-minded in one room. Thank you Joanna and to all who joined us. 💚
SAPS’ recent Train the Trainer event brought science education colleagues together to explore plant practical in biology 🌱
“An inspiring day with SAPS at their Train the Trainer event. It was a great opportunity to connect with other science ITE colleagues and learn more about plant practical in biology. I look forward to using the resources with my trainees and helping them to feel excited to teach about plants.”
- Joanna Igoe, Science ITT Lead at Equalitas
Joanna attended on behalf of Equalitas, working alongside colleagues to explore practical approaches that bring plant biology into sharper focus for trainees.
The day highlighted how close observation, simple materials and thoughtful curriculum design can support more confident teaching of plant science.
