The babies have enjoyed using the watermelon for a sensory, messy tray. The babies explored their senses of touch, smell and taste. The older children also used the baby cutters to chop up the watermelon into smaller pieces.

🐳World Oceans Day🐳

To celebrate world oceans day the babies have been exploring an ocean themed tuff tray. The tuff tray had lots of different textures and objects which helps the babies to explore their fine motor skills and different textures. The babies also enjoyed learning the different animal names and trying to say them.

This week in the baby room, we have celebrated healthy eating week by cooking some rainbow scones. The babies helped to pour, mix and roll the ingredients. We had a variety of different vegetables and the babies explored them through touch and taste during tnis activity. The children then got to try their scones at tea time!

This week the babies have been exploring a new texture with red lentils. The babies have enjoyed pouring, feeling and transporting the lentils using different tools and utensils.

Pre school have enjoyed making the most of the sunny weather this week ☀️
The children have taken part in a variety of different water play themes, painting, drawing and puzzles to ensure they stay cool in this heat. The practitioners also engaged in conversation with the pre school children about the ways we can stay safe in the sun!

This month the babies have explored the garden lots in all different weather! We have enjoyed mini athletics, exploring nature outside the nursery and playing indoors with our friends too! The babies have also enjoyed a range of fun activities inlcuding playdough, painting and playing on the soft play.
