Sunhill Day Nursery Fen Drayton

Today the preschool children enjoyed using thier fine motor skills to draw around different animals with chalk on cardboard, and listening to the sound that the chalk made.

The Pre-school and Toddlers enjoyed being chefs this week. We made a batch of spinach and egg muffins together. They loved wearing their outfits, cracking the eggs, and stirring the batter.

We had the absolute best week with our toddlers, exploring everything from a dinosaur sand tray with fossils and stones to messy, bubbling bicarb science experiments and rolling toy cars through bright paint to make cool tracks on paper!

The children in the baby room celebrated national ice-cream day! We had a sensory tuff tray with foam, ice cream cones and accessories and coloured rice for our sprinkles! The children transferred the sprinkles from the bowls to their ice ceams, strengthening their fine motor skills. 🍦🍨

The children in babies have had fun decorating a cake. We had lots of different colours of icing to choose from and some sprinkles to decorate! This activity targeted the childrens fine motor skills and they had some yummy creations to take home!

We had the best time exploring food play today in the toddler room! 🍓 The children used different tools and mashers to squish up raspberries and blackberries, using the bright juices as natural paint for some mark making. Here is the before and after and as you can see, it was thoroughly enjoyed and very messy!
