The Spring Montessori

We have been celebrating today, Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday! In our curriculum we are dedicated to “encouraging a love for the natural world” which is very fitting on this beautiful day! The children have created a window display for all to enjoy.

An update with the progress so far in our lovely nursery garden. We have lots more to do, but very happy with this start! Roll on them summer days in the garden ☀️

We are celebrating world book day ALL WEEK! 📖📚

Reading is so important in these early years! Building on vocabulary, social skills, confidence, speech and language, listening skills, imagination and the list goes on. The enjoyment of a story is something most of us adults all remember from our childhood before the screens took over. We can’t turn the clocks back, we are in the era of the screens and the tech and although they do have their place, we can still read a book! We can bring back that engagement with our children through reading a story. So this week set yourself a challenge, whether your child is 2 or 10… enjoy a story together and just for fun comment below one of your childhood favourites!
