We are hosting a joint formal between the Jesus College and Sidney Sussex College Natural Scientists, on TUESDAY 13th MARCH!
All Natural Science undergraduate, masters, and PhD students and fellows are invited - with a pre-formal reception at 6:30pm followed by the formal itself at 7:30pm, it will be a fantastic night.

**PhD VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!**

We are organising an evening event focussing on PhDs in the Natural Sciences. This will be both for undergrads to find out about PhDs and for fellow grads to find out about what their peers are studying! :)

We aim to have ~8 PhD students covering different topics within the Natural Sciences and will divide the evening into two sections: firstly a 3 minute thesis event, and secondly a Q&A session on PhD applications and study.

Details: Monday 29th January, 8:00pm, Upper Hall, Jesus College

Drinks and nibbles will be available free to all all evening.

So we are looking for some graduate volunteers to speak at this great event! If you are interested, please send us an email at [email protected] with a brief summary of what your PhD is on. We're looking forward to hearing from you! :-)

If you would like to do some practical natural history then come along to the Garden Room roof in the library tomorrow morning at 8.15am as we shall be opening the moth trap then It is a little cold and late in the season for a large catch (we only caught 2 moths when we ran the trap last week) but you are welcome to come and see what we do. We run the trap all year round and so if you can't come tomorrow but are interested then let me know and I can add you to our mailing list.
