Pippins is thrilled to have been selected for the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme. Our ‘Cycle Safe Pippins’ project aims to buy equipment such as balance bikes, helmets and road safety equipment to support children’s skills and knowledge in being safe on and near cycle paths and roads. You can vote for us by popping a blue token in our box after shopping at any local Tesco between now and January 2026- this includes Shelford, Fulbourn, Bar Hill, Newmarket Road and many more. We have a beautiful half term at Pippins, enjoying the Autumn season with lots of fun and learning inside and out.

We have had a wonderful start to the year with our new starters and returning children settling well and adapting to our daily routine. The children have been making self portraits and talking about what makes them unique. We have enjoyed the late summer sunshine in the garden getting creative in our new construction area and are looking forward to all the learning opportunities that Autumn will bring. 🌈🍏

We have been enjoying the much awaited sunshine in our lovely garden and are so grateful to Sawston Fun Run for their generosity in supporting us to purchase two big gazebos for our back garden. A huge thank you from all children, staff and families at Pippins Preschool to the organisers, sponsors and the many people that took part, donated or supported this brilliant, local event. 🌈🍏

We have been working hard this Easter holiday to give our back garden a much needed makeover ready for our Pippins children to enjoy in the summer term. Absolutely huge thanks to Tom, Dean and Chelsea from T&D Prestige Developments for their generosity, support and hard work in removing our rotten old sand pit, creating two fantastic play areas for water play and our mud kitchen, for renovations to our play house, for fitting our lovely new sand pit (generously funded through the Asda community grant scheme) and for lots of helpful repairs and heavy lifting. You have been super stars! Also, many thanks to Pippins staff that gave up holiday time to help out and create such a lovely outdoor learning environment for our children. Roll on summer ☀️🌈🍏

We were very proud and excited to wear our boldest and brightest socks to raise awareness for World Down Syndrome Day today.

We enjoyed a festive build up to the end of term, finishing with lots of fun at our Christmas party. Many thanks to Jackie for the festive sing-along and huge thanks to Londis for the generous donations of Christmas goodies for the Children and Staff.
