Anxiety in children doesn’t always look like worry. 💛
Sometimes it looks like anger. Or a meltdown over something small. Or a tummy ache every morning before school. Anxious children don’t always say “I’m anxious” more often, their behaviour says it for them.
A few things worth holding onto:
➡️ One sign on its own usually isn’t a red flag - it’s patterns and changes that matter.
➡️ If you’re worried about a child, trust that instinct and reach out to their teacher, your GP, or another trusted adult.

Ten maths websites that we think every primary teacher should have bookmarked.
After the interest from our literacy post, we made a maths list too.
No sponsorships. No affiliations. Just the sites we genuinely open every single week.
From Hit the Button on the whiteboard, to NRICH for your deep thinkers, to Mathsbot when the place-value counters have gone walkabout again, these are the ones that quietly hand you your Sunday evening back.
📌 Save this post so it’s waiting for you next time you’re planning (future-you, at 9pm on a Sunday, will be very grateful).
💬 Which maths site could you not teach without? Drop it below because we might add it to the next one.
👀 And tag the teacher in your team who’s still got forty tabs open right now.
