Evensong this evening at 6pm features music by Sarah MacDonald, Celia Cobb, Joanna Forbes L'Estrange, Amy Beach, Jeanne Demessieux, and choir favourite Eleanor Daley, which last year's choir fondly recall singing in Romania with our friends at Visszhang korus!

Don't forget that on Sunday week we mark the last Sunday evening service of term with a special Cantata Service, featuring Bach's 'Aus der Tiefe', a meditation on Psalm 130, 'Out of the deep'.
We're delighted to be joined by regular collaborators from the London professional baroque scene, alongside our own choir and organists.
6pm, Sunday 15 March, in Chapel, all welcome.

The team assembled post-Pepysian entertainment last week.
Raucous street-calls, lively folk tales, and of course Pepys' own song, Beauty Retire...
Back to normal this week with evensong tonight at 6.15, and on Sunday, more Purcell with his service in G minor (except actually in A minor, except actually sort of half way between - long story), and 'Remember not, Lord, our offences', plus some Welsh for St David's Day..!

Friday evening is the College's annual Feast in honour of Samuel Pepys, alumnus.
Evensong at 6.15pm with music by Purcell including mega-anthem 'Jehova quam multi sunt hostes mei'. Dinner follows with 'entertainment' from the choir and musicians...

Attention offer-holders - if you're interested in singing with the College Choir as a Choral Scholar, the deadline is coming up this Sunday, 15 February.
On the choir's homepage (link in bio) you'll find the brochure with more information about scholarships.
Contrary to recent posts, most choir events will NOT involve getting up at 6am.

🚨🚨Back by popular demand - the Divine Office.
After the success of last year's day, this Thursday members of the choir will sing the daily offices to Latin plainchant, just as our Benedictine forebears would have done. All are welcome to all services for c.15-20 minutes of calm and monastic orderliness.
Services are every three hours from Lauds at 6am until Compline at 9.30pm. Our main service of the day will be Choral Vespers at 6.15pm.

We had a lovely time at evensong with the talented young singers of King's College Cambridge School Schola Cantorum last night.
Our next service is on Sunday evening up the road at St Giles at 6pm. Candlemas treats including Bevan Magnificat octavi toni, Amy Beach Nunc dimittis, and O nata lux by Lucy Walker
