As we move through the summer holidays, it is an opportunity to reflect on the places that shape daily life at The Leys.
Moulton is at the heart of this for many of our younger pupils. Home to our Year 7 and 8 boarders, it provides an environment in which pupils can grow in confidence and independence. Pictured outside the House are Housemaster Mr West-Sadler and Teddy. Together, they play an important role in creating the sense of community that makes Moulton feel like home. 🐾

A wonderful example of the impact our community can have beyond The Leys.
Through the Malawi Hearing Project, The Leys donated refurbished iPads to ear and hearing healthcare professionals in Blantyre and Lilongwe, Malawi, with support from fundraising by Barrett and Granta House. The devices supported professional development, patient training and healthcare education, while providing a more sustainable, paper-free approach to learning and feedback.

The Leys is fortunate to have fantastic opportunities right on its doorstep, including the Cambridge Union Society - the oldest continuously running debating society in the world. At the end of the Summer Term, pupils visited the Union, where they enjoyed a tour and a Q&A, followed by a debate on the motion, ‘This House Believes Margaret Thatcher Liberated the Proletariat’.
We are grateful to the Union for making our pupils and staff feel so welcome.

This week, 40 pupils from our valued partner schools – Coleridge, Trumpington, NCA and Chesterton – attended the annual Ollie Feast Summer Camp. The camp celebrates the strength of our partnerships by providing opportunities for pupils to work together, develop confidence and forge new friendships.
Our thanks go to H5 Adventure and The Leys pupil volunteers, whose leadership played a vital role throughout. The camp is a wonderful example of the positive impact meaningful school partnerships can have for all involved.
