As we reach Leave Weekend, we share a message from our Head Prefects, Nico C and Eliza R-B. At the start of term, they introduced their theme for the year, Generosity, encouraging us to share our time generously and support one another through small acts of kindness. As the school community takes a well-earned break, we hope the message offers a moment for reflection on the many ways generosity can be shown, both big and small.

Our Lower Sixth pupils are taking part in a day of activities designed to develop their leadership and collaboration skills.

Whether balancing across a slackline or working in unison through team challenges, pupils rely on communication and teamwork to succeed. The enthusiasm, determination and sense of camaraderie on display is fantastic to see, as pupils support one another.

The Leys' CCF programme saw 24 pupils travel to Portsmouth for an experience combining naval history, outdoor challenge and personal development.

Visits to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, HMS Alliance and The Mary Rose brought Britain's maritime heritage to life, while activities at Fort Purbrook, such as archery and orienteering, built resilience and problem-solving skills for the cadets. Thank you to the staff who supported the group and to Petty Officer Henry C and Leading Hand Astrid B-C for assisting the Year 10 cadets and helping them make the most of every opportunity.
