Introducing Master of Moots, Dante! 😎

Hey guys, my name is Dante and I am one of the Mooting Officers on this year’s HHLS Committee. Last year I made it to the finals of the 2022/23 Hughes Hall moot and I thorough enjoyed every aspect of it. Here at Hughes, mooting forms a key part of the law experience and I am psyched to be part of the team responsible for organising and shaping the competition this year. Outside my academic life, I enjoy sailing, kayaking, travelling, and unsurprisingly mooting and debating.

Introducing Master of Moots, Matthew! 👨🏻‍⚖️

Hello I am Matthew, the Hughes Hall master of moots for AY 2023-2024. My job is ensuring that the inaugural Hughes Hall Moot runs smoothly and all participants have the best opportunity to show their oral and written advocacy skills. I look forward to seeing the advocacy skills our moot participants have to offer and look forward to seeing them in action soon.

Fun fact: In my spare time, I enjoy partaking in combat sports such as Boxing and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.

Introducing our Non-Law Officer, Nicholas! ✨
Nicholas is a second-year land economist here at hughes, and he will be the non-law officer for the current academic year. Coming from a non-law background himself, he seeks to facilitate the sharing of knowledge to individuals from unconventional backgrounds who are keen on pursuing a legal career, done through hosting a variety of events/workshops.

Nicholas also fervently enjoys running recreationally, constantly testing his own limits - he clocked the fastest time in his military unit during his service (9.11 mins for 2.4km). He also enjoys watching horror movies, playing scary games and is a big fan of Japanese culture.

Introducing our Treasurer, the first member of our extended committee! Hader 🎉

Hi everyone, my name is Hader. I am in my second year reading law here at Hughes Hall. I am an international student, originally from Islamabad, Pakistan.
I look forward to serving as Treasurer for the Hughes Hall Law Society and meeting both law and non-law students.
Fun fact(s): I am a huge Formula 1 fan (team Mercedes)! Also, before coming to Cambridge, one of my favourite pastimes was to build and fly model airplanes.
