The staff have been busy with our usual end-of-year tidy-up inside, as well as making great progress in the garden! ๐ณ
Weโve been cutting back parts of the tree to create more space for our new climbing frame. Weโre so excited to see the garden taking shape๐

This morning we had our last preschool day! The children were very happy with their Whitsers Teddy bears and certificates. We canโt wait to celebrate with the rest of the preschoolers and the little ones at our summer party ๐ฅณ

We are so grateful to everyone that helped arrange the ball and supported the event on the night. Our overall fundraising total is continuing to grow and we are at a staggering ยฃ15,000. Keep following us for more updates on our garden project which hopefully will be starting at the beginning of September ๐
What an unforgettable evening!
The 9th Whittlesford Village Ball was an incredible success, and we're delighted to share that, thanks to the amazing generosity of our guests, table sponsors, prize donors, event sponsors and volunteers, we raised over ยฃ9,000 for local charities and community organisations. ๐
This fantastic total will directly support some wonderful local causes:
๐ Whitsers
๐ William Westley Primary School
๐ The Lawn Trust
๐ Sawston Riding School for Disabled Children
๐ Whittlesford Church
These organisations do incredible work within our community, and we're proud that the funds raised will help them continue making a real difference.
A special thank you goes to all of our table sponsors. Your support played a huge part in making the evening possible. By sponsoring a table, you not only helped create a wonderful experience for our guests but also made a significant contribution to the success of the event and the funds raised for our local charities. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and commitment to supporting our community.
To everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered or played a part in making the evening so special โ thank you. Your kindness, generosity and community spirit are what make the Whittlesford Village Ball such a memorable event year after year.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making the 9th Whittlesford Village Ball one to remember. Together, we've raised over ยฃ9,000, supported five fantastic local organisations, and shown once again what an amazing community we have. ๐
As many of you know, we announced that this would be our final Ball, with rising costs making it increasingly difficult to organise. But after such an incredible evening, the overwhelming support we've received and such an amazing result...
Maybe this isn't the end after all.๐

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone at Jackson Civil Engineering for their incredible generosity and hard work.
They kindly volunteered their time and expertise to move our garden shed, create a brand-new concrete base, and install a new fence in our preschool garden.
Despite working in the scorching heat, the team went above and beyond to make the experience special for our children. They took the time to let the children sit in the diggers, answered their many questions, sang Bob the Builder with them and even surprised them with their very own hard hats and branded hi-vis jackets. It was a day they will remember for a long time!
As a preschool that relies heavily on fundraising and the kindness of our local community, support like this makes an enormous difference. Your generosity has helped us improve our outdoor space for all of our children to enjoy, and we are so grateful. ๐ท๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ท๐ผ

Today the dentist visited Whitsers again. She read us a story about fruit and vegetables and we spoke about what is healthy and how to look after our teeth. She also brought us in some fruit so we could see what they looked like inside. The children then all tried some. The kiwi and pomegranate was popular! ๐ฅ๐ฆท
