We recently said farewell to Chris Barker who retired after 25 years of service across the two libraries in College.

Chris joined the College in 2000 as a Library Assistant and went on to become Assistant Keeper of the Old Library, making a huge contribution to cataloguing the printed books collection for the benefit of future generations of researchers and students.

Over the years, she introduced many visitors to the collections, from interested members of staff, to students encountering old books for the first time, to visiting professors. All benefitted from her expertise and good humour!

We wish her all the best for her retirement.

It was great to welcome Stormzy back to Jesus College.

He was here to meet some of the students supported by the Stormzy Scholarships funded by Foundation and HSBC UK. It was a chance to hear from them about the opportunities the scholarships provide and how their degree courses are going.

He was then taken on a tour of the College grounds by the Master.

The scholarship programme has funded 68 students to date.
