What do a Brazilian fish, a Kenyan barbershop, and 27 cats in Beijing have in common? There's 5 days left to find out!
🌍 Health Across the Globe 🌏 runs until 15 June in the Marshall Room at Jesus College. All are warmly welcome to visit the exhibition.
Showcasing photographs and artefacts contributed by the academic community, the exhibition reveals what it means to access healthcare around the world: from jungle home visits to First Nations greenhouses to urban cafes. It features displays of local innovation and care experience from Senegal, Kenya, Peru, Brazil, Cuba, China, Bangladesh, Australia, Yukon Territory and others.

Jesuan Jeremy Soper (2014) has set a new hang-gliding world record with a 377 km closed-circuit flight across Kenya’s Rift Valley, the longest journey of its kind ever achieved in the sport.
The 10-hour, 37-minute flight set new records for both endurance and distance in one of the world’s most dramatic flying landscapes.
And Jeremy already has his sights set higher: “I’ll be back for the 400!”

You are invited to join the Intellectual Forum and Gates Cambridge at Jesus College on 3 June 2026 to explore the challenges and opportunities AI offers for social good. Despite significant investment and optimism, many artificial intelligence initiatives for social good struggle to achieve sustained impact. In this conversation, Dr Krittika D’Silva (2016, Computer Science) and Gabriella Crimi argue that the challenge lies not in the technology itself, but in how these efforts are designed, implemented, and embedded in practice.
