A Cambridge University Society which aims to pro Science is an essential part of modern society.

Students Against Pseudoscience was founded by a group of students at the University of Cambridge during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. We value effective scientific communication and are dedicated to fighting back against the growing threats of pseudoscience, misinformation and anti-intellectualism. It should be strongly defended, especially in the face of growing anti-scientific sentiment. As students are in a privileged position. Many will go on to be scientists, health professionals, lawyers, teachers and politicians of the future. It is our duty to use this position to further scientific thinking and combat pseudoscience. Greater appreciation of science in society requires respectful and open spaces for everyone to learn about the scientific topics that affect them most. Furthermore, to effectively counter pseudoscience, an understanding of the phenomenon is crucial. These are all beliefs for which our society has come together.
