Some lovely illustrations this week…

We learnt some more about perspective - this time taking a ‘worm’s eye view’ to think about one point perspective.

There were some very fun and imaginative shops and buildings added to their street scenes! 🪱🏠✏️

This week we looked at the work of Christa Rijneveld using collage and linework to explore the concept of perspective.

We learnt about foreground, middle ground and backgrounds - posca pens were a big hit as always!

We thought about symmetry this week - the kids had free rein to create their own fun monster masks with posca pens, stickers and sharpies 🥰

Last week we finished assembling our colour wheel snails and then used written prompts to create collage bugs.

This week, we were illustrators - listening carefully to verbal prompts and descriptions to draw a series of monsters in a ‘Little Book of Monsters’ 😃

We’ve been working with colour theory this week - mixing warm, cool, primary, and secondary shades to paint some bright watercolour snails.

Can’t wait to put the dried artwork together next Tuesday and send them home! 🐌 🌈 🎨

A wonderful start to Creativity Club this half term!

This week, we explored positive and negative space and used it to design our own artworks, filled with calming Zentangle patterns.
