Pregnancy has had a funny way of stripping everything back to what actually matters…
It’s made me realise that so many of the things I thought I loved…. Weren’t really the things I loved at all 😂
Take running…
I used to think it was all about chasing pbs, ticking off distances, or hitting certain paces. But now, when my body only wants to manage an occasional 5-minute run (and sometimes nothing at all), I’ve realised the part I truly missed was simply being outside. Feeling the fresh air, moving my body, clearing my head
Right now, that looks more like slow walks than long runs. And honestly? It still fills my cup!
I’ve realised I still love lifting weights too - not because I’m trying to hit a certain number on the bar, but because I love feeling strong and capable. At the same time, pregnancy has taught me to appreciate something I most definitely overlooked before: simple mobility work! Those gentle movements that prepare my body for the changes it’s going through and the challenge of birth have become just as valuable as a heavy lifting session ever was!
The same has happened with food…
Instead of thinking about calories or trying to earn my meals, I’m listening to what my body is asking for. Eating nourishing meals that satisfy me. Enjoying all foods when I fancy them. Trusting that I don’t need to swing between restriction and overindulgence
Food has become something that supports me, not something that controls me!
I’ve also found a whole new appreciation for things I probably took for granted before:
😴 a full nights sleep
❤️ 1:1 adventures with my daughter before our family grows
👩❤️👨quiet evenings with my husband
🐢slowing down without feeling guilty!
Pregnancy has reminded me that lift isn’t about doing more, achieving more, or being “productive” all of the time!
Its about noticing what GENUINELY brings you joy
And that’s a lesson I hope I’ll carry with me long after this pregnancy is over 🤞
I’d love to know - has there ever been a season of life that completely changed your perspective on what really matters? 🤍

What should you eat when it’s roasting outside? ☀️
When temperatures climb into the high 30s, it’s completely normal to feel less hungry, crave lighter foods and lose motivation to cook.
But hot weather doesn’t mean your body suddenly stops needing nourishment.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is people unintentionally under-fuelling because they’re “not that hungry” and then wondering why they’re feeling tired, headachey, irritable or lacking energy.
My heatwave nutrition priorities are simple:
💧 Stay on top of fluids
🧂 Replace electrolytes if you’re sweating more
🥗 Choose lighter meals if they feel better
🍉 Include plenty of water-rich foods
🍞 Keep eating regularly, even if portions look a little different
Nutrition in the heat isn’t about eating perfectly. It’s about helping your body feel its best.
What’s your go-to hot weather food? 👇

Exciting event!
If you are someone who is currently pre-menopausal or menopausal and live locally to Chatteris, I am going to be joining on Thursday 18th June to do a special talk on all things nutrition and menopause!
Not only will you get specialist knowledge on how to use food to navigate the growing list of symptoms caused by menopause - but there will also be DELICIOUS cakes and plenty of friendly faces to chat too 🥰
You don’t wanna miss it!

Pregnancy doesn’t have to mean “eating for two” or throwing every healthy habit out of the window. 🤍
This is a realistic day of eating on holiday while pregnant. No food guilt. No strict rules. No “being good” or “being bad.”
I chose foods that were rich in nutrients because my body and my growing baby need them, but I also made room for foods I genuinely enjoyed. Because nutrition isn’t about perfection—it’s about balance.
For me, mindful eating means asking:
✨ What will nourish me?
✨ What will satisfy me?
✨ What will make this holiday enjoyable?
You can prioritise your health without obsessing over every bite, and you can enjoy your food without feeling like you’ve “gone off track.”
Pregnancy, holidays, and life in general don’t need to be all or nothing. They can look like colourful meals, ice creams in the sunshine, family dinners, and listening to what your body needs.
Because building a healthy relationship with food is just as important as getting the nutrients in. 💛

Nutrition is so much more than weight loss. ✨
My goal as a nutritionist isn’t simply to help people change the way they look — it’s to help them change the way they understand, trust and nourish their bodies. 🤍
I specialise in:
• Nutritional education 📚
• Supporting those struggling with binge eating and disordered eating patterns
• Helping individuals recovering from anorexia rebuild a healthier relationship with food
• Sports nutrition and fuelling performance 💪
• Peri-menopausal & menopausal nutrition and supporting women through hormonal changes 🌿
Food should never feel confusing, frightening or controlling.
When you invest in learning about nutrition, you’re investing in your health, your mindset, your future and your quality of life. You’re choosing to prioritise yourself — not just for now, but long term.
Because nutrition isn’t about punishment.
It’s about empowerment. ✨

The sun is absolutely SHINNING this weekend! Why not use it as an excuse to cook a meal you’ve not had for ages?
As a very busy Mum who works two jobs and balances life … I know how easy it can be to fall into the trap of having the same meals week in week out
Don’t get me wrong, when you’re trying to manage time, eat nutritiously and eat on a budget - repeated meals can be an absolute life saver!
But every now and then it’s nice to take the time to actually put thought into my foods.
What am I craving?
What haven’t I had for a while?
What foods do I get jealous of when people post?
And a 3 day weekend with plenty of sunshine is the perfect opportunity!
Wholesome salads 🥗
Maybe a dish you tried on holiday that reminds you of the sunshine 🌞
Childhood favourites that you avoid because of the “calories” but that bring you pure joy!
I challenge you this weekend - cook yourself something you’ve not had for ages! And let me know below 👇

Today’s post is simple…
Theres so many diets out there telling you what to eat, what not to eat, how much, how little… but when you break everything down to basics, it’s a lot easier than that.
If your nutrition is colourful - I’m talking no beige plates but bright colourful food - and yes M&Ms can occasionally count 😉
If your nutrition is satisfying - meaning you aren’t instantly wanting to eat something else straight after - we see you fridge raiders
And if your nutrition allows you freedom - I’m talking no restriction to any foods, everything is allowed - in moderation
If all of those things are true - you are HEALTHY 🤍
