Today, as part of Cambridge Ecosystem Week, we had the privilege of visiting Nyobolt, a University of Cambridge spin-out that is redefining what is possible in battery technology.

Nyobolt is pioneering ultrafast, end-to-end fast charge lithium batteries. Their breakthrough anode technology tackles one of the biggest challenges in electrification: downtime.

From physical AI and autonomous robotics to heavy-duty vehicles and power grids, Nyobolt’s innovations are helping enable:

- Near-continuous operation with minimal charging downtime
- Greater grid stability and resilience
- New possibilities for high-performance, electrified systems

A huge thank you to George Kapellos and Peter Gilhead for hosting us, sharing your insights and showcasing how deep tech from Cambridge can scale into solutions with global impact.

Great to have our Cambridge and Global Executive MBA cohorts in town for Cambridge Ecosystem Week!

This week is all about immersing our students in the unique Cambridge environment: combining classroom learning with visits to other departments of the University of Cambridge and to companies in the wider Cambridge innovation cluster.

Today we:

✔️Heard from Professor Jennifer Howard-Grenville on sustainability and why it matters for every organisation.

✔️Welcomed Dr Beatrix Schlarb-Ridley from the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), who shared powerful insights on climate science and what it means for business and leadership.

✔️Visited Arm, the UK’s largest company by market capitalisation, to explore Cambridge-born innovation at global scale, and to hear how their technology, sustainability strategy and net zero ambitions are driving positive impact worldwide. We are extremely grateful to Paul Williamson, Rosalie Tribe, Fiona Maudslay and Kim van Lieshout for generously sharing their knowledge, experience and perspectives with our students.

✔️Closed the day with an inspiring talk from Tom Grundy of Hybrid Air Vehicles, exploring the future of low-emission aviation.

Huge thanks to all our speakers and hosts who made today unique!

Celebrating Pride, celebrating diversity

As we mark Pride Month, we celebrate diversity in all its forms: who we are, how we think and how we work together.

In this video, James Thompson, Cambridge Executive MBA 2025 and EDI Class Representative, shares why a mix of backgrounds, identities and experiences leads to richer ideas and more creative solutions, while uniform teams tend to arrive at the same answers.

Watch James reflect on what a truly diverse workplace can achieve, during Pride Month and beyond.
