Part-Time Playworker – Buttercups Out of School Club
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Playworker to join our friendly team on a part-time basis.
You’ll help create a safe, fun and engaging environment for children before and after school, supporting play activities, building positive relationships, and ensuring every child feels included and valued.
Hours:
• Every school holiday – up to 8 hours per day
• Some term-time hours as required (approximately 2–3 hours per week)
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Warm, reliable and energetic
• Passionate about working with children
• A great team player with good communication skills
Experience working with children is preferred but not essential — attitude and enthusiasm matter most!

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic person as a :
1:1 support for a child with additional needs in our Early Years setting.
You’ll assist children to get the most out of activities, build their confidence, and encourage language development and social skills. You will be patient and flexible.
Hours required are between 10 and 20 per week over 2 or 3 days.
We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has experience in Early Years (ideal but not essential)
✔ Is patient, nurturing and reliable
✔ Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs

Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 6pm–8pm]

Job Duties:
Cleaning rooms, toilets, and play areas
Vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces
Keeping the nursery clean and safe for children and staff
Requirements:
Must be reliable and trustworthy
Cleaning experience is helpful but not required
A DBS check is needed (we can help with this)

This morning during our weekly forest session, the children delighted in celebrating the natural world around them. They searched for natural treasures such as sticks, feathers, and stones, used prompts to create beautiful pictures inspired by nature and conversed with the Grandmother Tree.

The toddlers had a wonderful time at their first Music & Movement session at the Octagon this week. They listened to music chosen by the children, with this week's selection being ABBA! Dancing with vibrant rainbow ribbons and scarves, they utilised their gross motor skills to create beautiful movements throughout the room.

Collaborative garden fun!
This afternoon our toddlers & pre-schoolers joined together to create some beautiful artwork in the sun, using a multitude of fine and gross motor skills to paint on our make-shift canvas.

This morning, our children had the delightful opportunity to participate in a special Easter event at the church. The wonderful volunteers engaged our groups with a dramatic retelling of the Easter story, before guiding them on a lovely egg hunt through the church's beautiful gardens.🐰
