☕📚 PSHRE Curriculum Café 📚☕

It was wonderful to welcome parents and carers to our recent PSHRE Curriculum Café.

The event provided an opportunity to explore our PSHRE curriculum, find out more about the topics pupils learn about, and see how we support them to develop important life skills, wellbeing, relationships and independence.

Thank you to everyone who attended and took the time to engage with discussions. We hope you found the session informative and enjoyable.

Our pupils have been making the most of the outdoors during their PE lessons, developing their physical skills, confidence, and teamwork while enjoying being active in the fresh air.

Outdoor PE provides fantastic opportunities for our pupils to build resilience, improve coordination, and have fun while staying healthy. It’s wonderful to see everyone engaging so enthusiastically and supporting one another.

Well done to all our pupils for their fantastic effort! 👏

This week at The Cavendish School, we have been recognising Mental Health Awareness Week and exploring this year’s theme: Action 💚

Our pupils and staff have been thinking about the small actions that help them feel calm, supported and happy — from spending time outdoors, listening to music and reading, to talking with friends, exercising, drawing and taking mindful moments throughout the day.

By sharing what helps us feel calm, we are encouraging one another to prioritise wellbeing and support positive mental health every day.

A huge thank you to The Arts Society Granta for their incredibly generous donation of a pottery wheel.

This fantastic addition will provide our pupils with even more opportunities to explore their creativity, develop new skills and express themselves through art. We are so grateful for your support and kindness in helping to enrich our creative curriculum.
We can’t wait to see the amazing pottery creations our pupils will make! 🎨✨

Exam season is almost here, and a little planning can make a big difference 📚✨

Our top tips for successful revision:
⏰ Create specific revision times
🎯 Set mini goals
🗓️ Make a revision timetable
🥗 Don’t forget to eat well
📵 Avoid distractions
💡 Focus on one subject at a time
☕ Take active breaks
😴 Get plenty of sleep

Revision is not about doing everything at once — it’s about building small, manageable habits that help you feel confident and prepared.

Wishing all of our pupils the very best as they prepare for their exams 💙

What an incredible day at The Cavendish School on Friday 10th April!

Our Autism and Education in England event was a fantastic success, bringing together educators, professionals, and advocates who are all passionate about improving outcomes for autistic young people.

We were proud to host a range of inspiring guest speakers who shared valuable insights, experiences, and forward-thinking approaches to inclusive education. Alongside this, our interactive OT session gave attendees the opportunity to engage, reflect, and better understand practical strategies to support learners.

The day was filled with meaningful conversations, collaboration, and a shared commitment to making a difference. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to such a powerful event — the impact will continue far beyond the day itself.
