We are thrilled to invite you to our highly-anticipated event of the year, the Lent Term Gala Formal! Join us for a memorable evening of great food, fine wine, and delightful company at the famous Elizabethan College Hall, Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, on February 28, 2023, starting from 7:30 pm onwards.
The ticket prices for the event are £56.60 for non-drinking and £63.60 for drinking tickets. The ticket includes a sumptuous 3-course banquet dinner with vegetarian options available for starters, mains, and desserts. For those who purchase a drinking ticket, red wine will be included. We'll also provide coffee or tea after the dinner and a photographer to capture the best moments of the evening.

As Lent Term begins, the Graduate Law Society welcomes all of you to a night of fun, games and merry conversation at the Isaac Newton Pub on Castle Street from 9 pm onwards on the 27th of January (its a Friday)! The pub has been generous enough to provide us with a 10% discount on all spirits and ales to members of the Graduate Law Cohort! We welcome everybody to join us for a night of fun conversations, good vibes and a chance for the graduate cohort to meet and get to know the larger community as well as the office bearers of the GLS!

He studied his law degree in Spain and his Juris Doctor from the United States. Currently an LLM student, at GLS he wants to ensure all graduate law students have an opportunity to get to know each other better and appreciate the diversity in Cambridge.

Meet the Committee: Treasurer, Niharika Julka
She is a qualified lawyer from India with a deep-seated passion for justice and a strong sense of purpose. As the Treasurer of the Cambridge Graduate Law Society, she is committed to finding new and innovative ways to improve the society’s financial efficiency and support the smooth functioning of CUGLS. With a strong drive to succeed, she is constantly seeking out new challenges and opportunities for growth, and determined to succeed in her role.

Graduating at the top of her batch with multiple Dean's Awards for academic excellence and being a Justice Prathiba M Singh Cambridge Trust Scholar, Kushi is proud to represent the graduate law student body this year! She is a qualified Indian advocate and is currently pursuing her LLM. She is a determined individual and a go-getter, who is extremely passionate about legal aid. In the upcoming year, she aims to organize events and initiate projects beneficial for the entire graduate law cohort!

Meet the Committee: Vice President, Aparna Raju
She is a qualified lawyer from India, who is currently pursuing her LLM. She is a very focused individual, who has an immense drive and sense of purpose, coupled with exceedingly high standards of morality. She holds a very strong academic background and has won several awards and accolades for her scholastic excellence. She is very passionate about litigation, with keen interest in criminal law, taxation and constitutional law issues.

Please note: Only members of Cambridge University Graduate Law Society (CUGLS) are eligible to book. All postgraduate students (Masters and PhD) at the Law Faculty and the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge are deemed members of CUGLS. Members are allowed to bring up to two guests. Additional tickets will be made available to non-members subject to availability.
