PE Week at Preschool! 🏃‍♂️

This week we’re introducing our PE sessions! As well as having lots of fun being active, the children will be practising getting changed into their PE clothes, helping to build their confidence and independence as they get ready for school.

Please send your child to preschool with:
👕 A T-shirt
🩳 A pair of shorts

We’ll support the children every step of the way, encouraging them to dress and undress independently at their own pace while celebrating all of their achievements.

Thank you for your support—we’re looking forward to a fun and active week! 🌟

Don’t forget it’s our talking and listening workshop tomorrow, 1-3pm.

🍦 Seaside Fun 🍦

Our tuff tray was transformed into a sensory ice cream parlour today! Using shaving foam and rice crispies to create the “ice cream”, the children enjoyed scooping, filling cups and cones, and creating their own delicious pretend treats.

This wonderful sensory activity encouraged imaginative play, communication, creativity and lots of hands-on exploration while bringing our seaside theme to life.

There were plenty of smiles, messy moments and imaginative ice cream creations all round! ☀️🏖️🍦

☀️ Extreme Heat Reminder ☀️

With the warm weather continuing and reaching a scorching 38c on Thursday, we’ll be making some adjustments at preschool to help keep everyone comfortable and safe. We will have curtains closed and fans blowing. We will have ice lollies and water play.

Please can children:
👕 Wear light, cool clothing
💧 Bring plenty of fluids / a filled water bottle
🧴 Arrive with suncream already applied (we will reapply during the day as needed)

During preschool we will:
🌳 Limit physical activities during the hottest parts of the day
⛱️ Spend time playing in shaded areas when temperatures are high
💦 Enjoy water play and other cooling activities

Thank you for helping us keep everyone happy, comfortable and safe in the sunshine! ☀️
