πŸ†πŸ‘‘ MARLEIGH PRIMARY ARE CHAMPIONS! πŸ‘‘πŸ†

What a phenomenal achievement for Marleigh Primary School as we are officially the Anglian Learning Primary Sport Alliance Champions for 2025–2026! πŸŽ‰

Over the course of the year, our pupils have represented the school with incredible determination, enthusiasm and teamwork across a huge range of sporting events, including competitions, festivals, swimming galas, the Movement Miles Championships, the Girls' Football League and much more.

Every event counted, with schools earning points for participation and additional points for their performances. Thanks to the commitment, effort and sporting spirit shown by our pupils from EYFS right through to Year 6, Marleigh finished the year at the very top of the standings, becoming overall champions among six competing schools! πŸ₯‡

There have been so many memorable moments throughout the year, including becoming Netball Champions, Cricket Champions and Golf Champions, as well as narrowly finishing as runners-up in both Swimming and Athletics.

A special shout out goes to Lilly in Year 6, who achieved an incredible double success by being crowned Anglian Learning UKS2 Backstroke Champion in swimming and Standing Long Jump Champion in athletics. What an outstanding achievement! 🌟

This title wasn't won in a single day or at a single event. It is the result of a year's worth of hard work, resilience, teamwork and determination from so many children who have proudly represented Marleigh Primary School.

Every point earned, every race run, every ball thrown, every goal scored and every challenge completed helped secure this incredible victory.

To finish the year as the overall champions is a truly remarkable achievement and one that everyone in our school community should be immensely proud of.

Congratulations Team Marleigh β€” you've set the standard, raised the bar and finished the year as the very best in the Anglian Learning Primary Sport Alliance! πŸ†πŸ’™

Lights on, music up... and what a night!
Our school discos were a huge hit, with two fantastic sessions full of fun for children of all ages.
Our youngest disco divas brought plenty of energy to the dance floor, while our older children sang every word to their favourite songs and showed off some impressive dance moves! There were snacks, sweets, lots of laughter and, of course, a conga that seemed to get longer every time it went around!
Seeing so many smiling faces, friends dancing together and everyone having such a brilliant time was the perfect way to celebrate the end of another amazing school year.
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ What a fantastic day out for Fen Ditton Primary and Marleigh Primary as our sister schools came together for a wonderful whole-school trip to Milton Country Park! πŸ’š
We had an amazing time exploring the beautiful park on a nature walk around the lake, spotting lots of wildlife along the way πŸ¦†πŸ¦πŸŒΌ. Everyone enjoyed taking part in exciting Forest School activities 🌳, completing a fun nature scavenger hunt πŸƒπŸ”, and enjoying free play and den building in the woods, where imaginations and friendships flourished 🌲✨.
Definite highlights of the day were the fantastic zip wire and swings-they were a huge hit with everyone! πŸŽ‰πŸ›
We enjoyed eating our packed lunches together 🍎πŸ₯ͺ, spending time with friends from both schools and making special memories.
A huge thank you to all the staff who helped organise and support the trip. Your hard work and enthusiasm made it such a successful and enjoyable day for everyone. β€οΈπŸ‘
What a brilliant day filled with friendship, teamwork, adventure, and smiles! 🌟😊

πŸ§ͺWhat an incredible Science Fair Showcase! πŸ₯Ό
A huge congratulations to every one of our amazing young scientists who took part in this year's Marleigh Primary Academy Science Fair.
We were blown away by the 76 children’s fantastic entries from across the school, each one demonstrating curiosity, creativity and a real love of scientific enquiry. Choosing projects for the showcase was no easy task!
Today, 17 projects were presented by our talented young scientists, who confidently shared their investigations and answered questions from visitors throughout the afternoon. Despite the soaring temperatures, every child showed fantastic enthusiasm, resilience and pride in their work.
A huge thank you to all the families who supported their children at home and to everyone who came along to visit the showcase and cast their votes.
We are so very proud of every child who took part. The future of science is certainly in safe hands!

β˜€οΈ What a fantastic Summer Fayre! β˜€οΈ
Last Friday, we were treated to glorious sunshine and an afternoon full of fun, laughter and community spirit at the Marleigh PTFA Summer Fayre.
There was something for everyone to enjoy – from Hook-a-Duck, the book stall and tombola, to delicious homemade cakes and plenty of other exciting stalls. A special well done to our brilliant Year 6 entrepreneurs, who impressed everyone with their sweet bags and handmade bracelets.
The highlight of the afternoon had to be the chance for pupils to soak the teachers... including the Headteacher! πŸ’¦ There were lots of smiles (and some very soggy staff!) as everyone embraced the fun.
A huge thank you to our incredible PTFA for all the hard work, time and enthusiasm that went into organising such a wonderful event. We are so grateful for everything they do to support our school and enrich the experiences of our children. Your dedication helps create memories that will last a lifetime.
Thank you to everyone who came along, volunteered, donated and supported the fayre. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the school year together. πŸ’œ

We popped out at breaktime and asked as many children as we could to choose one word to describe our school… and this is what they said! πŸ’œ
From kind, fun and friendly to amazing, supportive and special, the children came up with so many lovely words. It was wonderful to hear what they value about our school and to see such positive responses from across our community.
Molly, our school dog, also received plenty of mentions, which we are sure she will be very pleased about! 🐾
We think the children summed up our school perfectly!

✍️✨ Celebrating the Power of Handwriting! ✨✍️
There is something really special about looking through our children's books and seeing the incredible progress they make with their handwriting.
From our youngest learners in Reception, who are carefully forming their first letters, to our Year 6 pupils, who write with confidence and fluent joined handwriting, every child is on their own unique handwriting journey. Along the way, they develop not only neat letter formation, but also resilience, concentration and pride in everything they produce.
We are so proud of the effort our children put into presenting their work beautifully each and every day. We can't wait to see where their handwriting journey takes them next! πŸŒŸπŸ“
