This morning, pupils from The Vine were invited to the unveiling of the first red post box in the UK to carry the cypher of King Charles III. They were joined by a BBC cameraman and interviewed live on BBC Breakfast as part of the unveiling.
Pupils posted letters to the King to share the news about our new forest school project which will be starting in September. The letters will be delivered to the King later today for him to read and respond to.

Tomorrow is our Summer Fete from 4-6pm where we will be raising money to fund our new Forest School project.
Be sure to come along with your pennies, pounds and notes as we will be taking cash on all of our stalls. The bar and BBQ will have card payment options.

We currently have a few vacancies left for our September 2024 Reception intake and would love to welcome you to visit us.

The Vine school was rated an 'Excellent' Church school in our March 2023 SIAMS Inspection. The inspector highlighted that, 'With exceptional consistency, the school community knows the vision and lives its life by its principles. As a result, those in the community develop, thrive and flourish.'

In November 2023 Ofsted rated as a 'Good' school and it was reported that, 'Everyone is welcome at The Vine Inter-Church Primary School. Pupils love coming to
school. Staff nurture and support pupils to become courageous learners, to take risks,
explore and be ambitious.'

Yesterday we welcomed Pete Thompson World Record Holder to The Vine.
Pete led a whole school worship where the pupils were introduced to the 'Skipping Ninja'. Pete shared the benefits of being active and how making small changes with practice can lead you to achieve great things.

All of the pupils from preschool to year 6 took part in a session with Pete during the day where they were given the opportunity to refine their skills.

A reminder that we are inviting all pupils to come dressed as a word of their choice. They could choose an adjective (e.g. fragile, active, elegant), a noun (e.g. paleontologist, author, monster) or maybe even a verb (e.g. glisten, raced, cracked). The options are endless, and this is a great opportunity to expand your child’s vocabulary! Homemade and reused costumes are encouraged, please don’t feel the need to buy something new.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone in their costumes on Thursday!

**Vacancy**
We are looking for a committed Caretaker and Site Manager to lead our existing site team who collectively maintain and secure the school buildings and grounds.
Candidates will be hardworking with high professional standards, have knowledge of health and safety and able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively – no two days are ever the same!
Previous experience of working in schools desirable but not a necessity.
