🧠✨ Festival of Ideas 2025 ✨🧠
A celebration of thinking, creating and collaborating!

We’re still buzzing from the energy and imagination on display yesterday as Year 10 students from across Cornwall joined us for a day designed to spark curiosity and open minds.

From exploring the justice system in our Law Workshop, to testing their logic in the Critical Thinking Challenge, and creating purpose-driven content in the Social Media Campaign Masterclass, students stepped up with creativity, confidence and teamwork.

👏 A special shoutout to Team Nexus, who came out on top in the Great Culture Quiz 2025!

Led by experts and fuelled by ideas, this was more than just a day of learning — it was a launchpad for future pathways, big questions and bold thinking.

A huge thank you to all our facilitators, staff and students for making the Festival of Ideas 2025 such a memorable and inspiring success.

🌍✨ Exploring the World of Liberal Arts at Exeter University! ✨🌍

Our students had an unforgettable experience at Exeter University’s Liberal Arts Discovery Day! From captivating taster lectures on the English Rising of 1381, Women in Homer, to What It Means to Be Human in the Modern World — there was so much to discover and reflect on.

The thought-provoking sessions sparked real curiosity, with new perspectives forming and ideas taking flight. The day concluded with a scenic tour of the campus, rounding off a truly enriching visit.

The journey home buzzed with excitement and deep conversations — a clear sign of just how inspiring the experience had been.

📚 Law Pathway Session at CSLA

Yesterday marked an incredible start to our Law Pathway sessions at CSLA! We were thrilled to have Barrister Guy Micklewright join us for an engaging session, kicking things off with the thought-provoking question: "What is Law?" Our students gained invaluable insights, from those preparing to apply for Law at university to Year 12s exploring the subject for the first time. Covering everything from the rule of law to essential reading recommendations, the session left students inspired and eager to delve deeper into legal studies!

🎉🌟 What an Incredible Festival of Ideas! 🌟🎉

Year 10 students from across Cornwall took part in CSLA’s first-ever Festival of Ideas, and it was nothing short of AMAZING! These brilliant minds immersed themselves in a range of challenges designed to spark critical and creative thinking.

From presenting at a law workshop to designing innovative social media campaigns, these students truly showcased their talents and creativity.
