World book day
Carwarden House School is closed today, 8th March 2023, due to heavy snow. Teachers will notify the students about remote learning via their school email address or parent mail text.
Dear Parents / Carers,
You may be aware that one of the teaching Unions (NEU) has called for strike action from its members on a number of days over the next couple of months. I am able to confirm that this will only have an impact on one tutor group within our school on the first proposed date. This is a 6th Form group and all the student's parents from this group were informed at the end of last week.
ALL other students apart from those in Pluto will be attending school as normal on Wednesday 1st February.
I will, of course, let you know as soon as I'm able if future proposed strike days will affect your child.
Kind regards,
Tim

Camberley Jubilee garden looking fantastic!

As part of our community learning, 8G visited Windsor. We walked the long walk, practiced road safety awareness and even managed to see the changing of the guard.

On the coach and making good progress. We are looking to arrive earlier than anticipated. ETA 3.45

A fab visit to bird world

It’s disco time! Great fun and great dancing!

The day was finished off with filling our pots with some Isle of Wight coloured sand.

Off for a boat trip around the needles. It was a bit rough on the sea!

And then we went to watch some glass blowing.

First we watched some lemon sweets being made and then we got to taste them!

And tonight’s activity is called Jelly baby! And Theo was the hero of this team!

Who has photobombed this lovely photo?

Day at the races!

On Friday, (25.3.22) 10C went to Farnborough Airport! The staff there were just fantastic and everyone from Carwarden were thoroughly spoilt with time, food, information and gifts.
On arrival we were met by the Account Executive, David who talked to us for about hour about his experiences and what goes on at the airport - and he name dropped some of the famous people who have trained there...did I hear the name Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford and a certain member of the royal family...and now 10C?
The students were lucky enough to go on the simulators with trained pilots, who gave up their time, to show us how to fly the planes and we were able to choose which airport we flew out of - Japan, Mallorca, Gatwick and Dubai were amongst some of the locations.
Flight Safety International also gave us a very delicious lunch which was demolished.
The generosity did not stop there though, we all went home with rucksacks, laptop bags, pens, notebooks, caps, stress ball airplanes and more.
A truly fabulous day was had by all students and staff and is something that will be remembered for years to come.
Thank you David, Richard, Daryl and Vicky for making our day so special.

Look who paid us a visit last week... Only the amazing singer Nathan Gurd with a great message on Wellbeing and Cyberbullying!

Celebrating world book day! Lots of costumes from witches, Alice, mad hatters, Cheshire cat and white rabbits to the cat in the hat, Harry Potter and Gangsta Granny

Saturn Volunteering for CSSEF charity sorting and cleaning donations ready to display in the Just 4 Kids charity shop in Camberley.

The Kindness rock project - One message at the right time can change your day.

Best Day ever! - Travel training/Independence/money/fun. We caught the train from Frimley to Aldershot and went to MacDonalds. The very friendly train staff chatted to us and some of us got a badge.
