We began today with movement, laughter and community as we came together to celebrate National Fitness Day with 10@10!

Everyone got involved in ten minutes of exercise, from star jumps and planks to plenty more. It was great to see pupils and staff getting active together, encouraging one another and having fun!

Just like that… week one is done 🎉

The halls have been buzzing with energy, excitement and plenty of wonderful learning!

This week also marked the start of an exciting new chapter as Miss Morgan took on her new role as Headmistress. Already very much part of the Lyndhurst family through her previous role as Deputy Head, it was lovely to see her leading our assembly today as she announced our new House Captains and roles of responsibility for the year ahead.

We also celebrated some of our fantastic staff members who have recently completed their First Aid training, proudly presenting them with their certificates.

The children have certainly been getting stuck in! From hands-on science experiments to cooking, there has been learning happening everywhere you look. And then there’s our Christmas Card Competition… 🎄🎨 Christmas in September?! We can’t quite believe it either! 😂

For our newest members of the Lyndhurst family, there was a particularly special welcome, as they were presented with their very own Lyndhurst teddy, complete with their house badge. 🧸❤️💙

A week full of new beginnings, exciting opportunities, creativity, curiosity and community — and we’ve only just begun!

10 Sleeps to go! ⏰

While we countdown to the start of the new school term, here are a few tips to make the first morning go smooth:

✅Name every item - jumpers, water bottles, coats, the lot!
✅Do a trial run of the uniform a few days before (better to find a missing sock now!)
✅Pack the bag together the night before, then everyone knows where everything is, and it makes a nice conversation piece
✅Set an earlier bedtime to ease back into the routine (it's a shock to the system this back to normality stuff!)
✅ Have the "first day" uniform ready to go - it's so exciting 😃

This year, our Summer Fun Day had a little extra magic as we created Lyndfest! 🎶

What started as a vision from our incredible Music Captain became a reality—a festival-inspired school fair filled with fantastic live music, delicious food, laughter, and fun for everyone.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, performed, volunteered, and helped make the day so special. It was wonderful to see our school community come together to celebrate the end of the Summer Term in true style.

Our much-anticipated Year 6 residential is always a highlight of the school year and this year was no exception. From water sports to confidence-building challenges, the children pushed themselves, supported one another and grew in independence — all set against the backdrop of a stunning scenic valley.
