A Magical Night to Remember!

Our amazing Post 16 students had an absolutely unforgettable night at their Prom last week! The dance floor was buzzing, the outfits were stunning, and the memories made will last a lifetime.

A special shoutout to our very own Prom Queens, Becky and Rachel, who helped make the night extra special!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all the wonderful businesses and individuals whose generous support made this magical evening possible: Springthinking, N N Building Solutions, Morrisons, Barons Pubs Company and John Munro for bringing along his beautiful car.

Check out some of the highlights from the night in our Prom photo album!

Yesterday we were joined by Kylie and Taylor from Guiding Future Champs. The students watched a presentation then did some activities including press-ups, star jumps and stretches. Everyone also got the chance to hold and wear their medals which was very popular!
If you haven't yet sponsored the event, please do so if you can. You can either send the sponsorship form back to school or pay via your Parentmail account (select Payments/Shop and add ”Guiding Future Champs” item to basket (you can either put the standard £2 donation or any amount which you wish to donate).
The deadline for donations has been extended to Wednesday 15th at 5:00pm.
Funds raised will help support opportunities and resources for our students. Any additional funds raised will be shared, with 60% going to Portesbery School and 40% to Guiding Future Champs. The funds raised along with the support of Friends of Portesbery will go back into the sports department, creating further opportunities for all pupils.
Thank you for your continued support!

Emma is one of our students in our Post 16 department. Those of you that have met her will know that she has a lot of energy and enthusiasm!
She will be taking part in a Superhero Triathlon in aid of White Lodge which many parents will be aware of, so please support her and donate if you are able to.
Go for it Emma, you're going to smash this!

🦸‍♀️ Meet Emma – our superhero. 💜

This year, Team Nourish Active is proud to be taking on the Superhero Tri to raise money for White Lodge, alongside our incredible superhero, Emma.

Some superheroes wear capes. Ours wears the biggest smile.

Emma wants to take on this challenge to have fun, push herself, and show that with the right support, everyone can achieve amazing things.

Emma often stuggles to communicate with words, so expressing how she’s feeling isn’t always easy. Busy crowds, loud noises and the excitement of race day can also be overwhelming. But despite these challenges, she tackles every adventure with determination, resilience and an infectious smile that lights up every room.

We’re honoured to be part of Emma’s journey and help her cross that finish line.

Every donation helps White Lodge continue providing life-changing opportunities for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, helping them build confidence, friendships and independence.

💜 If you’re able to support Team Emma and Team Nourish Active, we’d be incredibly grateful for your donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Thank you for supporting Emma and cheering us on. We can’t wait to share our journey with you! 🏊🚴🏃

Let’s show Emma that an entire community is behind her. 💜

Our Post 16 department recently enjoyed a fabulous residential to Butlins. Whilst we were away, we went for a day trip to Portsmouth. We went on a power boat around the Solent, with a company called Wetwheels Solent They have a wheelchair accessible boat run by fantastic volunteers to give young people the chance to enjoy the thrills of the open water.
Our students were also lucky enough to drive the boat – it was a highlight of their week.
We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun day out on the water!
