With a new half term starting tomorrow it’s time to introduce myself ☀️

My name is Lauren and I am the owner and class leader for Baby Sensory Camberley 🌙

I live in Mytchett with my husband Oscar, my 8 year old son Max and our cat Kit 🌽

Before joining Baby Sensory I was an “outstanding” OFSTED registered childminder and before that I was a criminal paralegal! 🌟

I like horror films, Disney and Harry Potter 🌧️

I don’t like milk, frogs or crabs 🌸

But what I really really love, is my job and I can’t wait to welcome you all to our Winter term 👭

With a new half term starting on Monday I thought I would repost this advice for any of our new starters . . .

Are you worried about attending Baby Sensory for the first time? 😳

Don't be! ❤️

It doesn't matter if your baby needs a feed 🤱🍼

It doesn't matter if your baby needs a nappy change 🔄

It doesn't matter if your baby cries 😭

It doesn't matter if your baby falls asleep 💤

As a parent myself I know that these things happen (they happened to me too!) and the other parents in your class won’t bat an eyelid- we are all in the same boat! 🥰

We all know that babies need frequent nappy changes, feeds & naps and that those things won't stop just because you aren't at home 🏡

At Baby Sensory Camberley we welcome all parents are caters with babies aged 0 - 13 months and we'd like to reassure you that your first class won't be anywhere near as scary as you think it will be 🙈

We had the perfect pumpkin parties to celebrate all things Autumn 🍂

We practiced tummy time on our pumpkins 🎃 we explored some autumnal treasures 🍁 and we had a bonfire party with fireworks 🎆

Such a wonderful class and definitely one of my favourites ❤️

🤩🤩Winter Themes🤩🤩

I have been busy planning our themes for the Winter term! ❄️

Each week at Baby Sensory is different so you won’t repeat the same class twice ✅

Next term we will be having a trip to Old McDonalds Farm 🐑 a Teddy Bears Picnic for Children in Need 🧸 and an end of term Xmas special 🎅🏼 🎄

But before that, we have our Baby Pumpkin Specials next week! 🎃

I can’t wait to have lots of fun together this winter ⛄️

🌽 🌽 Scarecrows! 🌽🌽

Every Oct half term Max and I spend a day visiting the Binfield Scarecrow Trail ❤️

A £3 map and a day full of exploring feels like a wholesome and cheap day out 😂

This year there are 57 to find (Max insisted we find all of them!) and the trail is on residential paths so easy for buggies or scooters if you take the older kids 👍🏻

A couple of cafes, a pub and parks on route help make a day of it too! ✅

Max had speech delay and for YEARS I would say I couldn’t wait until he could talk . . . Now he doesn’t stop 🙉

🎃🎃Pumpkin picking🎃🎃

Our annual trip to for Pumpkin week! ❤️

Pleasantly surprised with the nice weather too ☀️

£3.50 a ticket (under 2’s go free) ✅

2 big pumpkin fields, lots of fun little displays on the walk to and from the fields and some lovely bbq and Pumpkin food at the end 🎃

🎃💀Pat mats!💀🎃

Why don’t you make some spooky pat mats this Halloween? 👻

You’ll need

A laminating pouch
A heat source (iron or straighteners)
Some duct tape
Something exciting to put inside . . .

I’ve used the seeds and flesh of a pumpkin 🎃 some spooky eyes and green glitter glue 👀 and some black water with gold glitter for some sparkle ✨

First step is to seal 3 edges of the laminating pouch with the heat source to make a pocket ✅

Then put your contents in - remember not to add too much liquid (as we want a pat mat and not a water balloon) 🤚🏻

Squish out as much air as possible by folding it over 💨

Seal the 4th edge with the heat source to secure it. Make sure there are no kinks in the edges and that no liquid is escaping ❌

You can also add duct tape around the edges to make it a bit more robust and secure ⚠️

Then let your baby pat, push, squish and explore! 😃

Great for hand development, strengthening the muscles and for hand eye coordination 🥳

Make sure your baby is supervised when playing 👍🏻

We ended this term by sailing the seven seas as Baby Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

We went on the hunt for buried treasure 💎 we played pirate peek a boo 🫣 and we splashed our feet in the (paddling pool) sea 🌊

A wonderful way to end this half term ❤️

But we have very limited space to join us next term ✅

If you live locally to Yateley (or can travel) then we have space on the 9.45 am mixed age class (birth to 13 months) or the 12.25 pm birth to 7 month class ❤️

Yateley is a 5 week term (no classes on 30th Nov as I’m off to the Whats on 4 kids awards 🏆) and costs £45 🥳

We have some wonderful classes planned including our Christmas special 🎅🏼
