Little Lyndhurst have been enjoying the topic of sorting. They have been looking at what rule should be used in a sorting activity, whether it should be sorted by size or colour. ππ¨ The children in Little Lyndhurst independently sorted the little bears dependent on their size. π§Έπ The children really enjoyed lining them all up in their correct size order. π§Έπ

Little Lyndhurst had a brilliant time staging their own car races. ποΈπ They loved pushing the cars down the track, helping to develop their gross motor skills. ππ¨ The children enjoyed seeing which place their car came on the race track. π₯π₯π₯ They learned about first, second, and third place, helping with their understanding of ordinal numbers. π₯π₯π₯ The children all enjoyed celebrating everyone taking part at an award ceremony to celebrate the races. πππ

Little Lyndhurst have been getting creative with a whole range of different mediums. π¨βοΈ They have enjoyed doing some doodling, helping to support their fine motor skills and expressing themselves with some lovely paintings ποΈπ¨. They also enjoyed making abstract pictures, sticking shapes and feathers to a piece of paper. ππΌοΈ

π§ The children in Little Lyndhurst have been enjoying using the wooden blocks ποΈ to build some very impressive towers π°. They were very patient and delicate βπ° putting the bricks on top of each other and were very proud of their results. π Well done! ππ

π§ Little Lyndhurst love their trips to the local playground ποΈ, where they get to work on their gross motor skills πͺ and building of their peer relationships π«. There was lots of giggles and laughter π as the children swung on the swing together π. They showed great teamwork pushing the roundabout π, and they got up to lots of adventures in the playframe π°. Great fun was had by all the children! π

π¦π― Pre-Reception are learning about wild animals in French this term. They are enjoying doing the actions β can you guess which animals they are for? π€π¦π They have been doing brilliantly counting to ten! ππ’ And they've just started learning a song called βUn Γ©lΓ©phantβ π΅π. They are also still enjoying singing all the familiar songs like βFrΓ¨re Jacquesβ πΆ. π

The children in Little Lyndhurst enjoyed an exciting π LEAF lesson. They had lots of fun exploring in the grounds of the school, feeling and smelling the different textures and aromas of the plants in the school π± and learning what the different plants and trees were π³.

Little Lyndhurst have been learning all about colours π. During their maths lessons, the children enjoyed going on colour hunts ππ¨ and looking at the different shades of purple π, green π, and blue π around the class π«.

We are delighted to welcome back all our children from the Nursery into Pre-Reception and all of our wonderful new starters. π
The next few weeks they will be settling into the Pre-Reception life. π All of the staff are looking forward to getting to know them as individuals and the children are enjoying getting to know their peers. π«ππ¬
